LVL crew at the WSOP 2025
I'm going to try something new here. Maybe it takes off, maybe it's a dud. But we can't know unless we try.
Is there any
An LVL meetup? During the series? What sort of treachery is this?
I'm flying on Sunday, staying that evening at the Linq, moving to Paris where I will stay until I check out Friday.
I plan on playing Event #2 (employee event) and a variety of cash games around the strip.
This is a great idea
I’m flying over on the 23rd from the UK for a fortnight. I’ll be playing a mix of the smaller tourneys and some cash and also seeing how many hot dogs and beers I can put away on my off days, in the stage door. I joke (a little)
Would be great to catch up with anyone out there then.
This is limited to 4 people only, but would anyone be down for Kabuto? I was thinking either 18th, 19th or 20th June.
I'm planning to be there 7/3-8, will be playing cash mostly, but will definitely be checking out the WSOP scene.
I will be there from June 8 (late evening) until June 13 (early PM). I am going to play in the Limit tournament at the WSOP.
Would love to meet for drinks, dinner, lounges, sports, poker talk, or all of the above.
Just updated arrival to Saturday June 14, as rates seem to be lower than I originally expected. Still at Ellis Island, hope to see some of you in LV...

Apparently tons of construction these days at Ellis Island while they are renovating the property, hopefully your stay won't be too disrupted by that.
it costs nothing if you can finish it in 20 minutes.
Even at 150$, it doesn't seem unreasonable.
so many trip reports right now - it's a full time job to keep up!
can we unsticky this thread, it is now obsolete
Done. Did any of these proposed meet ups even happen?
Red Chip and a couple other groups used to meet up about halfway through the Series. I quit logging in to those sites so I dunno if they still meet.
I met with TonySoprano9 for dinner one night soon after we each got knocked out of the same tournament..
I also met up with Oriole-lion a couple of times for drinks/food when our schedules aligned (I was playing tourneys, he was playing cash all over town).
I had a half-hour conversation with DogFace after I got knocked out of my tournament and while he was between tournaments.
Lastly I had a 10-minute conversation with GoIrish during a tournament break
Yea I also met with a few people individually.
I think an official meet-up where we all get together for dinner or something is a tough ask as there’s so much poker going on and everyone has their own schedule or tournament that they’re playing.
That’s not to say we shouldn’t try again next year though.

What worked for me last WSOP was the following approach:
1) Create the thread for people to post when they will be at the WSOP. I will do so again once the WSOP schedule is released (unless someone beats me to it).
2) Once I knew who would be at the WSOP at the same time as me, I'd PM them to see if they wanted to try to meet up.
3) If they were interested, we exchanged cell phone numbers via PM and agreed to target dates
4) When those dates arrived, we text messaged each other to meet up on tournament breaks to chat, and from there go to dinner if either a) we both made it to dinner break of a tourney, or b) if we both get knocked out at a similar time we grabbed a bite to eat. If a LVL person is a cash game player, a similar approach worked.
5) I agree that while an official meet up would be great, it seems almost impossible to schedule since no one knows if they will be available on any given day since the goal is to run so deep into the night in a tournament that an off site restaurant becomes really difficult to navigate/commit to. Being flexible to make real time plans seems like the most effective approach.
In any event, that's what worked for me.
