That is not an unusual viewpoint on a lot of message boards or social media outlets. The standard position among Republican voters is that the Dems shut down the government to give healthcare to illegals and handouts to those allergic to work.

I've heard quite often Trump is a self-made businessman, the pinnacle from rag to riches, totally legit and just power hungry, not corrupt and a very good person.
I have no idea how people arrive to that vision.

Reasonable people and unreasonable people tend to blame the party in power for increases in prices, even when it can’t necessarily be connected to the actions of the party in power. I’m not sure why this case would be different. Are you saying Trump is just that powerful?
