Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

Yeah, I'd take that and just hope the Raiders figure it out. Ferg has some floor games coming between CD being back and running hot on TDs.

Meanwhile, who says highly drafted WRs matter on the .5 PPR site?

Advancing to the finals of the 2Q in one pod, but bit of a sweat left.

In 1st with 122.20 and no one from tonight.

2nd has 112.56 with Kupp

3rd has 111.84 with Stroud, R. White, and Kirk (just saw that Kirk is out)

4th has 104.92 with Monty, Charb, and Jamo

Charb gave us a bit of a sweat, but we survived!

Nice! Good luck in the finals. Keep us updated on the sweat.

Thanks. It's a solo Herbie team with Ladd. So at least I'll know if I have a chance when I go to bed Thursday night.

Cool.

I was tired of grinding the weekly drafts and wanted a change up, so I drafted my first quarter contest. No idea if it's good or not. What do you think newguy?

Evans (89 lol) and Kendre (173) were both picked, so seems like there is dead money in these contests.

Only one week 9 and week 12 byes. Don't feel as bad about week 10 and 11 byes, but I still tried to avoid them. Still aiming to fill the flex with RB. I think there can be arguments made for 1, 2, or 3 at each onesie. The only pick I regret is Kupp, but I ran out of time.

Looks okay. I don't hate having someone with a week 12 bye, but I probably wouldn't do it with someone as early as Waddle.

I just checked mine and I've only got 2 out of 9 with any week 12 byes. On one team, I have LMC and another I've got Franklin and Malik.

Ya, that's fair. It took me a minute to get used to being back in a 12 man 18 round draft haha. I like this one better. Took Hunter 25 spots ahead of ADP, but I had no idea what to do and had him in my queue, so just let the pick happen. ADP probably doesn't matter that much in these.

Some wild work from this team.

Your 2nd team is much better.

I suck at NBA DFS. Way too much to keep track of with injuries and late swap, but Stokastic had a deal ($1 for tonight and Wednesday), so I maxed out the $0.25 on FD with $2k up top.

Then did this hand build in the flagship contest with $100k up top, using their single lineup simulator.

Good luck! I very casually follow the NBA, so no idea what would be good haha. Just hoping the Hornets aren’t out of the playoff race after 25 games this season.

Has this happened to anyone before?
Last night I offered Montgomery for Evans during first game and after the Evans injury I went to cancel and he already accepted it
Anything I can do about it it’s yahoo paid league
Thinking of changing my name to plzvetotrade
lol

3Q team. I find myself taking 2-3 players from SF/CAR a lot. They close out the finals in W12 on MNF, and are among the highest totals for that week.

Do you know if he accepted after the injury ? If so that’s ****ed up and hopefully it gets vetoed

If he accepted before the injury, would say that’s just bad luck

That sucks, but I’m guessing Yahoo isn’t in the business of vetoing trades that go down like that. No idea though, since I don’t play those games.

I make sure to never leave offers open for players in the middle of games to avoid these spots haha.

Saw a similar issue a few weeks ago with Ron. But the trade was actually offered after the player was injured before we knew the extent lol. Ron ended up vetoing it.

Not a bad game to target, but who knows what things look like by then? Would also be a fun sweat to have.

I can’t get behind that Etienne ADP. And I also have trouble trusting Pearsall right now. But overall, a solid balanced squad.

DFS for b-ball can be alot of fun - the key like you said is keeping track of injuries - you have to figure out which lesser known backup players will get more minutes to fill the lower salary spots. Not necessarily regular backups you've heard of, but guys who usually don't play that much, but who were thrust into big minutes out of nowhere and put up numbers in the previous game.

When I played more of it, I found that most of the major advice sites didn't really recommend these players, even if they went off the game before. You have to get your hands on the previous 1-2 nights of all player stats, and see if that player is going to start again.

For some reason the field seems to consistently forget about these lower-salaried players.

Yea last night wasn't too bad considering it was only a 2 game slate. Actually had a lineup that was in 9th out of 191k for a while, but it dropped quite a bit. Still finished +$4

Tonight is going to be a mess though lol.

Correct - It's more of a guessing game on opening night, but maybe something hits if you're lucky.

Ex: Hart and M. Robinson are out for the Knicks. KAT and Anunoby are game-time decisions, and maybe they play fewer minutes.

So yeah, everyone will pile on the other Knicks starters - but Clarkson, G. Yabusele (new to the team, deep sleeper) could go off. There is also a new coach, so you never know what happens.

I'm not even endorsing these particular players cause I haven't followed the team that closely. But you have to take chances of this variety for the first game of the season.

13 teams in the 3Q. I've picked from 1.10 - 1.12 in 8 of them. 1 from 1.08 and the rest were from 1.03 or 1.04

Hi everyone,

Need some help on a trade offer I got. A little long but I think it helps to know the circumstances.

10 team league, weekly head to head. 6 to playoffs. Best record gets percentage, points gets percentage, tournament winner gets largest take, and weekly highest points gets a bit every week. Half point PPR, tds worth 6, bonuses for 100 and 150 both receivers and running. Get qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 3 flex. Im 3-4 but 2nd in points, dude ill be trading with is 1st. We're super close.

Relevant starters are:

WR: Rice, Q. Johnston, Deebo
RB: Mccafrey, Cook, Achane, Stevenson

Fwiw, I have Baker and had Evans but ofc hes gone and my bench sucks.

Finally the trade:
I get: Smith-Njigba and Egbuka
He gets: Achane and Rice (Rashee).

What do you think given my circumstances? Thanks

I can see how that team wins. These seem fun from a game theory standpoint. I wish I had been playing them instead of the weeklies. The draft is much more fun.

I think JSN = Rice, so I'd try to decide if I like Achane or Egbuka more. I prefer Egubka, especially if Achane significantly upgrades RB2 for villain. But seems like a flip on who wins the trade.

Hey Tarheels, thanks for the response. I honestly feel id be getting the better end. He would then have Bijan, K. Williams, and Achane which is pretty solid. My WR core is weakish but ive been waiting for Rice to return and him and Evans are good enough and of course Evans gets hurt (hes sucked even when playing)

As it stands I have the best rb group itl and im fearful of breaking it up but im also nervous Miami continues to suck and Achane gets scripted out of lots of games. McDonald is now talking about a sorta committee with Gordon which makes it worse. And I mostly agree, its a flip but I do get the Baker to Egbuka hookup. I know that at least with Egbuka and Smith Njihba id have two absolute #1s while Rice has a Lotta competition.

Fwiw: Njigba has outscored Achane in our league 143.5 to 135. Egbuka has 108

What to do....I think i talked myself into it but would appreciate any other advice

by tarheels2222

Cool.

Miami, Buffalo, Jacksonville, and Eagles all bottom 10. Doesn't make any sense with the caliber of backs they have. Only real argument is for Miami given they are trailing a lot

I agree with Heels that this trade is basically even. I normally would side with the rb in half ppr, but I think the downside risk on the dolphins makes Achane slightly risky.

I very slightly lean Achane/Rice side but I don’t feel strongly about it at all. I would just go with your gut here since there’s no right decision
