The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

Maybe the government should impose 100% tariffs on Crown Royal and the Dodge Compass . Let companies know move your manufacturing to the USA and that product gets traiff's

Though part of me thinks the Auto industry is in trouble and we be better off welcoming chines EV's

Does that topic make you uncomfortable?

Do you agree with Poilievre that the RCMP was involved in a political cover up of crimes?

That is the kind of accusations that pre-trump would be absolutely startling and completely disqualifying if it came without evidence, but in the post-trump world is just another wednesday.

No. It in the least bit does it make me uncomfortable. Do I think Trudeau was involved in criminal activities? Yes when you interfere in a criminal investigation I consider that a crime .

LMAO. This has got to be the stupidest argument you've ever dug in on. Nobody said they didn't "meet" lmao. I literally shared a photo of the blurry handshake in a crowded ballroom she immediately went to post on twittter. Instead I said it was just a silly PR stunt, a photo opp, a political move as thousands of people swarmed for their 2 minutes with trump in inaugeration week

I'm digging in? Buddy I mentioned Smith was the only politician at the time that interested in deplomacy and you've lost your mind! Rambling about iPhone photos, 2 minute meetings, and ass kissing. It's an undeniable FACT she had at least 2 sit down meetings with Trump and his advisors, while people in Canada called her a traitor.

I've seen you come unhinged a few times but this might be the worst. It's even worse then the time you lost your mind because I said Trump is the most popular president of all time (he is).

This is pretty funny. You demanding people answer your questions.

LMAO oh man so hard not to take another dub on this one. No, uke_master, no, you gotta stop. You gotta take the W on some other issue than the same ballroom photo of them standi-oops I did it again. Ok I'll try to stop I promise!

LMAO what are you talking about? Most popular ever? His approval ratings are not close to the most popular ever: https://news.gallup.com/poll/203198/pres.... Is this view of yours based on number of votes? Biden got the most votes. I guess asking a 2020 truther why they think this is is inept but yes let's argue this one I'm excited for a whole host of new Ws.

I think this poll captures the essential dynamics of this thread. It is VERY hard to get unanimity on basic any public opinion poll. But what we see is effectively unanimous opposition to trump among liberals, NDP, green, Bloc. But the CPC is totally split. There is the trump wing and the not trump wing. Shifty for insteads as a 2020 truther is fully in the trump wing. People like lozen are sort of sympathetic but I think I'd probably but him in the not trump wing.

So when you have Poilievre doing stuff directly from the trump playbook like spuriously making up that the RCMP covered up his political enemies crimes, that's playing for the trump half. And if you are in the non-trump half of the CPC wing and are considering Poilievre, you gotta wonder how much trumpiness he is going to continue when in power. Because he is doing a LOT out of power.

Lets be clear I originally thought Trump would be better for Canada than Harris and have repeatedly stated I was wrong . I have also repeatedly stated that if I was an American I would have voted for a alternative candidate or stayed home. I thought Trump and Harris were horrible candidates

I have also stated Trump has delivered on campaign promises he made some I agree with and some I do not

As for Pierre's strategy to be focusing on the RCMP covering up some of Trudeau's crimes I think is a waste of time. If he was in power and wanted to open an investigation all the power to him . Pierre as opposition leader could spend his time on being the opposition

I also think it does not compare to Trumps prosecution of three individuals and my thoughts on those are :

Comey seems to be a witch hunt but this case will be tried in front of a democratic appointed judge and should be acquitted

Letesha James heck Karma is a biotch lady. You campaigned on prosecuting Trump . You prosecuted him on a mortgage charge with no victims . What is she being prosecuted for ? Mortgage Fraud and the case at first I thought was weak has merit .

As for Bolton the investigation started with Biden and this case has teeth

I am not shocked Trump is looking for retribution his own son Eric was issued 121 subpoenas . The cases that went to trial were total BS and the one case that had merit they were slow to prosecute

Lets remind Uke the king of retribution was Justin Trudeau against his own people for exposing his criminal actions

This is tepid. The problem with spuriously accusing the RCMP of "covering up" something with zero evidence that happened isn't that it is bad strategy. This is the kind of bright line in the sand that politicians shouldn't be crossing, this trump style insinuation the deep state is always out there covering stuff up. It might be good strategy! But one shouldn't do it. I'm not surprised you can't clearly call this out, but you should.

No tepid is excusing a PM for interfering in a criminal investigation and firing the person who exposed it and the person that stood up for that person and not being outraged

If Poilievre wanted to accuse the RCMP of "covering up" things he could have done so prior to the 2019 election or the 2021 election or the 2025 election. I get that you guys LOVE relitigating old Trudeau era scandals. But the problem facing us today is the leader of the opposition accusing the RCMP of covering up things on zero evidence.

I have no clue if he has evidence or not. Like I said I do not think its a good look for him even as corrupt as the RCMP may be .

What more do you want me to say? Would you like me to call him up and ask him to stop.

And finally a compliment to Justin Kudos to him on snagging Kati Perry

"even as corrupt as the RCMP may be". It is weird how oddly casual you are at this idea the RCMP is corrupt. Like if you have zero evidence of it, why are you suggesting they may have been corrupt and covering things up?

This kind of casual accusations against the apparatus of government is just a day to day thing under Trump. But it isn't normal. And it's still discordant to see conservative canadians like you and poilievre just casually toss these ideas around.

Uke may know more about this Cowichan Ruling stating that land in Richmond belongs to the indigenous people.

Its causing a panic among some if they actually own their homes anymore

The panic is completely unjustified and stirred up by right wing politicians fearmongering. The ruling is very clear. It does NOT affect individual people's property rights. If there was a situation where courts adjudicated a future land claim as belonging to indigenous people, then the responsibility for restitution would fall to the crown NOT individual people. That is, nobody can take your house away from you or make you pay an indigenous group for the value of your house. The crown could be sued, however.

Neither case has any victims . In reality Trump has paid his debts off James has not .

Both are a form of Mortgage fraud

The reality is no lefties are going to take anything we say serious . If its myself or Shifty .

Let me explain something to you . If I rob a bank for $5000 or I rob a bank for $50,000 . There both considered Bank Robbery and yes one is for a larger amount they are both still a crime

There you go lying again, Poilievre brought those up every election. Why are you lying?

What evidence would you like to see?

Can you find the quote of him saying the RCMP "covered up" something prior to 2019 or 2021 or 2025 elections? There was criticism of Trudeau for sure, but unless I missed it I don't believe he stooped so low as to claim the RCMP covered something up.

I would like to see ANY evidence that Poilievre has. A cover up is an extreme accusation. What is the evidence?

but if they got the money back, no harm is done right ?
that is pretty much what you saying about trump...

And yes there was victims.
fraud always make victims ...
shareholders, tax payers, the market itself being manipulated by fraudulent actions do have an effect.

An exact quote of something he said a week ago that he also said before? Probably not and I don't care to search everything Pierre ever said. But he was certainly critical of Liberals, NDP and RCMP's handling of many scandals.

Maybe he recently found new evidence? Who knows or cares, it's not like the RCMP is some super clean organization that hasn't been caught covering things up before.

The problem is they trumped these charges up to felonies and a trail was had and he was ruled guilty though the fine was tossed

Ill let the justice system run its course on James. She is in a court with democrat judge who I trust will rule on the law.

Like I said this case is the second strongest from what I read Bolton case is very strong
