50NL Journey 2.9k profit over 119k hands so far

50NL Journey 2.9k profit over 119k hands so far

My goal each month is to log 100k+ hands at 25NL & 50NL. I think i’ll be able to do it for a few months for sure before getting burnt out but I’d like to challenge myself and get better, ultimately move up stakes and play less, study more.

This is my results playing 50NL the past few months over the summer. I was grinding 4 tables of 50NL 6 max and some mtts alongside.

I’m creating this blog because I’m turning up the volume a notch and want to post my results as I progress through the stakes and get better at 6 max NLH. Going forward I’ll be primarily 9 tabling, with a goal of 25k hands per week.

9 table cap for me - 4-6 hours of play daily
6 table average - 2 hours of play daily

Estimated daily volume:
9 tables: 5 hours @ 3.5k hands estimated (700 hands/hr)
6 tables: 2 hours @ 1.4k hands estimated (700 hands/hr)

Total: 4.9k hands/day projected
21 sessions = 100k+ hands goal achieved

I need to play 21 sessions in 30 days to reach my volume target of 100k hands per month. I started Friday September 19th and since then have played 48598 hands of 25NL and 50NL.

Pre RB bb/100: 3.38
Pre RB Profit: +$631.89
Rakeback: +$952
Net Win: +$1584

I’m happy with the way things are going at the moment and confident in my abilities to win in the pool i am playing in. I should be ready to take a shot at 100NL in the coming months which i am excited to move up too.

I can post hands, play and explains, etc if people are interested in that sorta thing. I will be back with an update next week and some more graphs

I played nearly everyday the last 3 weeks, only taking 3 days off.. AVG 4.9K hands played per day over the 18 days at the tables

The first 50k hands 80% of the volume is 25NL, the other 20% of volume is 50NL....

Hands 50-89k is 90% 50NL and 10% 100NL.

My 100NL shot didn't go very well losing aprox 5bi. Last 15-20k hands I lost another 15 bi at 50NL so on a bit of a downswing for the first time in this sample size. Definitely not complaining. I think i ran pretty good so far overall.

Things I noticed so far:
- Back hurts from sitting this many hours and i have a shitty chair
- eyes start hurting later in the day
- when i sleep i dream about hands and feels like i am still multi tabling lmao

Pretty normal things to experience when you go from playing 30k hands a month to playing that in 1 week (4x volume)

Two great poker podcasts I like at the moment are:
Table 1 Vegas https://www.youtube.com/@Table1Vegas

Mechanics of Poker

Ran a series recently interviewing some of the top performers from the mid stakes coin poker challenge.

I also really enjoy watching the coin poker hand reviews on youtube with players like prodigy, sealama, etc.

Heatering a bit at 50NL these past few sessions. Close to another 100NL shot. When shot taking 100NL I won't be focused on RB grinding and maximizing tables.

I will add the other site I was playing on during the summer. Not much RB or promotions but lower rake.

College football and NFL has started up which will result in the games being a bit softer on sites offering sports betting. Weather getting cooler on the east coast is also a contributing factor for seeing better games over the weekends.
