The "LOLCANADA" thread...again

So what's new?

I've noticed the Liberals are now ahead in all major polls and Trudeau hasn't even started to campaign yet

WTF. People protesting the horrors of the war don’t think of it as a “military victory” ffs. That’s even more ridiculous than claiming they are celebrating.

by uke_master

Um…..I don’t claim I’m center, I’m a proud lefty. That said, a lot of you make very bad guesses about what that means about my views are, as if you can just paint your caricature of lefties onto me on any issue. That’s why you are so often wrong in your claims about me, as you once again are.

Common sense is as students you maybe choose another date to walk out. Even a teacher might have guided them to that but I am sure the teachers supported it Though I believe the students had the right to protest but the school had the right to suspend them for walking out on classes .

Anyone that does not know your on the extreme left has not read your posts . Someone like myself is closer to the center than Uke

When a horrific war has gone on for two years, the anniversary of the start of the war is the completely natural date to protest the continuing war. That doesn't mean one is "celebrating" the initial terrorist attack. It doesn't mean one thinks that was a.....checks notes....."military victory". Like have you guys actually sat down and watched some of the footage of the horrors in gaza? This isn't celebration. This isn't victory. This isn't "doesn't care about Nigeria".

its not even an important date to Palestinians outside of the attack . Palestinians don't consider that the start of a war they view their entire life as a war in their mind they have been at war vs Israel since birth. Whats more likely choosing the day because of a victory or choosing that date because of an arbitrary start date of an ongoing conflict over generations. If you ask Palestinians "when the war started" none of them would give you that arbitrary start date of a recent escalation . This just shows ignorance to global issues its not a two year war. Hamas controls all media. I don't really trust any media coming out of Palestine alot of it is quite fake since Hamas controls the media. we won't really know death tolls for sometime if ever. but one thing is for sure the population of gaza will go up and up for the genocide crowd that's a hard one to explain

WTF man. Did you miss the two year long war that just entirely devastating Palestine? To suggest this isn't an important date no big deal only explanation is them "celebrating" a "victory".....wow. Surely it can't get worse than this?

Palestinians don't consider that the start of a war they view their entire life as a war in their mind they have been at war vs Israel since birth.

Oh wow. There just seems to be an utter lack of recognition of the extremes and horrors of the last two years of war and the million+ people displaced and tens of thousands dead. The only thing you can think of is people celebrating victory? Really?

Just wow.

unlike most left wing academic elitists I followed the conflict before oct 7. I think there's a reason you only post in the Canadian thread

So the same people will be out protesting when the war ends?

Not very well apparently! "celebrating a victory" - wow.

Your jab attempt falls flat as usual. I've personally followed the conflict for decades, and as much as you want to jab at "left wing academic elitists", Israel/Palestine has similarly been an active political topic people follow for decades so I'd probably stop patting yourself on the back for your presumed knowledge. Of course many more people are - completely appropriately - paying attention during the utter devastation over the last two years.

My goodness. How is this hard for you guys? People CELEBRATE when wars end - that's when they should celebrate! Is this some gimmick where you are going to be criticizing palestinians and their supports for celebrating now that the war is (hopefully) leading to a truce?

I dont think you understood what he said. hes saying these same people wont be going out to celebrate the end of the war. (maybe you haven't heard) I don't know how you could call this anything short of an Israeli victory so I guess that makes sense. I get it jerking off to mark carney talking about auto taxes is way too time consuming. Canadian politics is so boring im not sure how you do it

Uke you dressing up your kids at Halloween as Trans Hamas Fighters?

He "asked" if people would be out protesting the potential, hopeful end of the war? No. That's silly. That's backwards.

There is still plenty of attention that needs to be focused on the plight of the palestinians who even if peace holds now have an absolutely devastated country to rebuild and a highly uncertain future. Lots of reasons to still rally attention. But not what Shifty said.

Sure, if they want to. They don't know what Hamas is so I doubt they would want to. Somehow I feel like frozen characters are more likely. But you get outraged at whatever you want.

don't forget that elsa is gay

always something to feign outrage about I guess

that was a pure joke I remember there was memes about that what do you think about this uke? can i post links? it never works when i try to embed it. its about the university of waterloos code

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aicPj2WD...

What part of the 30 minute livestreamed video are you outraged about?

just fishing hoping you were from waterloo. I do find it strange white is the only lower cased. The excuse from ai is its because white is not a defined culture but africa is 4 times the size of Europe. but apparently this is normal

Why are you outraged about fishing?

Yes . Whats wrong with being annoyed about silly things against your own self interest. outraged is not really the right word here

Would you say you are outraged by my use of the word outraged?

yaaaa

Smiling at the monster that is the direct cause of all the pain and suffering in Canada. Our greatest existential threat EVER! Didn't you know he's threatening to annex Canada. Does Zylensky smile at Putin like that! Elbows up remember.
