RiverRat Grind: 45 on 25NL, But that River spike...
Hey 2+2 crew,
RiverRat checking in with today's online NLHE session on [your site, e.g., PokerStars]. Started the day with a solid BR mindset—aiming for 4 tables, 500 hands, no tilt if variance hits.
Quick stats:
- Hands: 487
- Won: $45 net (up 1.8BI—feels good after last week's downswing)
- Big hands: Folded AA pre once (villain shoved 3x, fishy range), hit a set on 89s for a nice pot.
The beat: Button shoves light on my c-bet with top pair, I call with KK... river bricks until a miracle 10 for his str8. Down $20 there, but shook it off and value-bet a flush draw later for +$30 back.
Variance reminder to self: Stick to the plan. What's your go-to mental reset after a bad river? Book recs or quick drills welcome.
