2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Agree Laportas tricky but yeah I think you have to keep him in your pool just bc the Lions are gonna score so much
They are and the Bengals are so damn bad lol. Funny to see Monty with a higher ADP than guys like Benson, Kamara, Marks, Chuba, KW, etc.
At LaPorta's current ADP of 31.3, his estimated draft percentage is 50% or so, which is also a consideration. I think I'd rather take Waller at 34.4. But I'm really trying not to be binary in how I draft TEs, since TDs are mostly what matter. Not spreading out TE exposures more have caused me to miss out on scores like Goedert last week.
Ah yes, the initial reporting of probably not too serious for Bucky or Benson has now turned into Bucky in a boot on crutches and Benson on IR.
I blew all of my FAAB on Benson in our redraft league. I wish you had noticed he was on waivers, jimmy 😆. That team is ****ing cursed this season haha.

Not proud of grabbing Michael Carter off free agency but his ESPN prediction is already better than that of Pacheco for this week. Eagerly awaiting his 10-26-0 with no catches statline
I think Jeanty is gonna be way over drafted this week. I fully expected him to go off against Chicago. I think he comes back down to reality against a good defense.
In ppr league who would you pick up m Carter or deme guy in Arizona for rb fill in

Wow! Demarcado is gonna be a monster.

Haha yeah you’re running awful in that league. I desperately need to consolidate in that league (as you can see by my offer)
Probably going to be an annoying split between Demarcado and Carter, where Carter is the rusher and Demarcado is the passing down back. You're just hoping someone falls into the endzone if you're playing them.
Hopefully this just means more scoring for Kyler, McBride, and MHJ. But I'm guessing this coaching staff is going to be stupid and stubborn and use less talented backs instead of their best players, because they haven't shown any creativity in 38 games thus far.

Haha when I saw the proposal notification, I assumed it was something for Puka. I'll think about it, but I probably just have to ride Puka since he can outscore the combo of any 2-3 players any given week. On the flipside, I might need to get him off of my team because it's cursed.

Cardinals are trash. I wouldn't touch anybody on this team. I absolutely don't think there will be more scoring for Kyler. The lack of a running game will completely sink him.
Fantasy is crazy. Ladd Mcconkey was going mid second in fantasy drafts and is currently the third best fantasy receiver on his team.
Is Puca officially a must roster guy in DFS much like Kupp was back in 2021? How do you not play him? He easily scores 25 without a TD. If he scores a TD you absolutely have to have him. He is clearly a set it and forget it in cash games.
1. Would you buy low on any of these players:
Jeudy
Devonta Smith
BTJ
MHJ
Chase Brown
2. Where do you rank Addison ROS
MHJ is too good not to start producing. He just needs to clear his head. The second half of last weeks game should help.
Chase Brown was way over drafted even with Burrow. He's a classic not superior talent being drafted on situation only. He will continue to suck and he's easy to tackle. He should have been a fourth round pick at the earliest. I think I have 1% in best ball.
Good luck predicting which games D Smith will go off.
Jeudy has a QB who likes to throw short. Quinshon is gonna be the only guy to own in this offense.
BTJ has yet to click with Lawrence in both years. I'd suspect he'll get it going at some point. I think Hunter will also get it going. I do not think Lawrence can support two WR's.
Addison should be alright but I'm not excited about the QB situation.

Are you all forgetting that Cater was the Jets RB1 for a season and showed talent as a rec back at the same time? Now he wasn't him but he's more him than Demarcado has ever been. Again I wouldn't bet on either to be overly productive but if you have to I would bet on Carter
A Tar Heel fan never forgets Michael Carter haha.
He can maybe matter in a game here or there, but he’s just a journeyman backup at this point of his career. The Jets drafted over him. The Cardinals have drafted over him.
It’s tough to bank on any of it, especially when we already haven’t seen great production from Conner and Benson so far this season. And when I expect the Cardinals to run a committee approach. Just like we saw with Benson and Demarcado. Just like we saw with Benson and Conner.
Backups need to consolidate volume to payoff, given they’re not as talented.
Min priced Mac Jones on FD is going to be fun tomorrow. Even with Jennings and Pearsall both out.
A lot of cards rb talk. Wouldn’t want to start either until we see how it plays out. I think if he’s out there, Rico dowdle is a better pickup. Sounds like Hubbard is injured and dowdle plays dolphins this week
