I'm still up $1,689 for the trip.

Part of my wants to book profits. I could conceivably lose half of what I've made before I leave Tuesday.

Part of me wants to tighten up. I lost $500 rapidly playing loose and fast.

Part of me wants to play without weed.

Feeling good about my $1,550 in profits. As of right now this equates to a losing trip factoring expenses. But I never stood to make that much money once I ended up staying at The Orleans for 8 Crazy Nights.

Trip was fun. I had a bad time at the beginning, then moved in at The Orleans for a poker odyssey of some kind. I ran hot, I played like I was a young Tom Dwan, I stacked a bunch of fools, I spewed on tilt, and I got really high in the parking lot. What more could I ask for?

As of right now I'm planning on driving to Vegas in November, and staying with a friend at one of those weekly rate extended stays through Winter. It's that, or face 4 months of seasonal depression.

My plane lands two hours from now. I'm excited for Playoff Baseball and to see my Mom.

My stock portfolio is looking healthy at the moment. I'm still not good at investing, but I think I have enough common sense to win at it.

Right now I own three stocks. Not selling until old age.

1) Tigers to win the Central, Even odds, Bet $200 to cash $400.

This was the best bet I've possibly ever made. The Tigers charged into first place by a wide margin, which allowed me to hedge my bet with the rest of the division for about $35. I ended up cashing for an extra $50 when The Guardians cleaned house. I was on the pulse of The Tigers all year as evident from my posts in the MLB thread.

2) Tigers to win the World Series. +3000 odds, $100 bet.

I placed this one in April and cashed out $295 in July when they were seemingly juggernauts. They proved to be paper Tigers. I rebought World Series bets on Detroit, Toronto, and Boston for small amounts.

3) Paul Skenes and Tarik Daniel Skubal to CY Young, A parlay. Bet $138 to cash $238.

I placed this bet near the end of August a few days before Skenes' odds became astronomical. I was surprised the collective odds were so good considering how great the two players are.

4) Milwaukee to finish with the best record. -220 odds, Wager'd $110 to cash $160.

I've been on the Brewers' wagon since the All-Star Break. I'm not even sure why, I think I was just really high and they kinda made sense. As it turns out, The Brewers organization chooses to turn off the Air Conditioning at home games, spiking the temp and in all likelihood the humidity, making it less comfortable on opposing players. Had I known about this I would be a certifiable "Sharp", but ultimately I just got lucky.

I have fun bets on The Brewers, Tigers, Jays, and Sox to win it all.

I don't play much chess anymore.

Driving from Detroit to Las Vegas in an electric car is giving me some anxiety. I have about 320 miles of range on a full charge. The longest gap on my route is 187 miles, from Glenwood Springs to Green River. Doing the trip in early November to avoid the bitter cold but there will be some cold and that will reduce my car's range.

Anxiety about mostly nothing. I looked at a map and the longest actual gap is only 123 miles. I think the drive is doable.

I lost mostly all of my playoff bets so far and am taking a vow to avoid sports.

If the Mariners and Brewers win today then I recover but it's not looking great.
