I have made 40k Playing Poker but am lost - What Do I Do? - Please Give Me life advice

I have just turned 20 years old and started playing poker around the beginning of the year and it has really taken off.

The moment has come. It’s time for a ClubWPT sponsorship!

All jokes aside, those are some great achievements OP, happy for you

Which option do you think would benefit the people around you most? Perhaps a future spouse, your local community, your parents?

Let’s say you get a job tomorrow. What kind of job will it be? If the answer is “a boring one, ” then if you’re anything like me, you’ll keep wondering: Did I just miss the greatest opportunity of my life to make loads of money in poker?

Let’s say you keep learning poker and play 300k+ hands at 400NL or higher, and then realize that you’re actually not that good and can’t make a lot of money — by “a lot, ” I mean $200K+ per year. Would you regret spending that time on poker? If you’re anything like me — no.

If I were in your shoes (and I was in your shoes), I would try — and I did try — and made a bunch of money 😀 Although it used to be insanely easy back in the day, I no longer play poker and have completely transitioned out of it.

I never thought I would play poker for my entire life. I always had a plan to transition out of it at some point, and I did. And with all my heart, I wish for you to make $1M+ from poker and then transition out of it. Human beings are capable of so much more — especially those who are capable of winning at high stakes.
