Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

Javonte for Egbuka seems like a no brainer.

Javonte for Waddle is probably closer. Based on what we saw of Miami's offense in W1 I'd be hesitant.

In a .5 ppr league would you give up Brian Thomas and Jaxon wr on Seattle for j Jefferson and rb pollard

I asked for Jefferson and brown but he wants to keep brown and offered me pollard instead

My wr are strong I got Collins Higgins Thomas and Jaxon with rice on bench

My rb b Robinson and Henderson
And my bench i got both Seattle backs

I prefer the Btjr/JSN side slightly , but it depends how many teams and how many WRs you have to start

For ROS I wanted to try ranking the QBs (below) that were all QB8+ pre-week1.

Assume redraft, 1QB, 15-16 roster spots, so kinda only want to hold 1QB during early season.

(not included -- Josh/Lamar/Jayden/Hurts/Burrow/Mahomes/Nix/Baker)

Tier 1: could be top 12

Herbert
Fields
Caleb
Penix

Tier 2: the streamer pool

Dak
Love
Kyler
Goff
JJM

Tier 3: lotta questions but could have occasional good weeks

Maye
Geno
Danny Dimes
Stroud
Stafford
Brock

Tier 4: no one else I'm interested in.

Am I too high on Penix & JJM? Too low on Danny Dimes?

Too high on Stafford.

I don't think there's that big of a difference between most of the QB's in tier 1 and 2

Too low on Maye. Too high on Love.

Ummm.....to all the pre-season fantasy writers reporting how insanely good Matthew Golden looked and how impactul he was going to be.

Wtf?

Love missed him twice on long balls tonight. I didn't expect him to come out of the gates hot. Rookies take time. People dropped Justin Jefferson after three games his rookie year. Also, nobody knows anything until the season starts. Fantasy writers need to talk and write about something.

SaberSim is having a special for anyone looking to dabble in some DFS this weekend.

7 day trial of their base plan for $7 (normally $97/month)

7 day trial of their premium plan for $37 (normally $297/month)

Auto renews, so just make sure you cancel if you don't like it.

I noticed this guy Harold Fannin is getting alot of hype after week 1. Leading up to the season in best ball, I started seeing his name pop up as a late pick. But I didn't hear any talk of him from the regular YouTube shows I watch. Was this a big miss by me or was this guy a really unknown sleeper? Did you guys know about him prior to week 1?

For future seasons, I don't want to be a guy asleep at the wheel who misses a key player. How did some people know of him but I didn't?

Never heard of SaberSim, but that is pretty wild to hear about a sim service charging $300 a month. The only way that price would make any sense would be 1) it works pretty well and 2) The people using it are wagering thousands if not tens of thousands per month to play DFS games.

I'm curious how successful people are who use SaberSim.

Sims are crazy expensive, but a lot of times you'll see someone with an avatar of one of the big Sims at the top of the leaderboards. I think the big 3 are SaberSim, Stokastic, and RotoGrinders. Although RG is more of a hybrid of old school optimizer and sims.

I actually tied for 1st and had a few top 5 finishes using Stokastic last season in some of the cheaper buy-in stuff. They're the most expensive at $350/month for their premium plan, but that lets you sim 10,000 lineups vs 5,000 on SaberSim's premium plan.

Stokastic does offer weekly and sports specific plans as well, so you could save a little bit that way if you only wanted to do NFL.

Fannin was the most productive TE (maybe wr too) in all of college football last year

His profile had some concerns and as you’ll see in the clip, he runs kinda funny bc he’s duck footed.

I would say he was a popular upside pick, but those guys miss all the time (Sinnott).

But yeah he was a pretty well known player , he was even the ship chasing clip for this year

I guess Mizrachi wasn’t listening to LegUp or Ship Chasing haha.

But yeah, insane college production profile. And extremely bullish week 1 usage. The Browns want him to be involved. They’ve referred to him as the queen on a chess board.

If the Chiefs drafted him at 66, he'd probably be one of the highest owned TEs in DFS tomorrow.

He sure would. Njoku a nice leverage play this week. I’m mixing both in the UD games.

Really cool and cheap way to chase $50,000 and the Dawg Bowl live final.

I'm sure the Green Bay coaches have seen this. Jayden Reed is out. He looks like a first rounder route running wise. Hopefully he can catch. I think we are gonna find out soon.

Also, he should get a lot of if not all of the Jayden reed gadget runs and plays.

I'm going heavy Caleb stacks with Detroit bring backs this week in DFS. This feels like a big time shoot out. It also feels game script proof. Either Detroit gets off to a big lead and Chicago gets a lot of points in comeback mode or garbage time or it's competitive and back and forth. This feels like a get right game for Detroit. Green Bay is obviously an elite defense. Caleb is gonna be a very good fantasy QB but perhaps not a good real life QB. The Bear offense looks to be more consolidated than we thought. It may take a while for Loveland and Burden to get going. I'll probably go with one of Moore or Odunze as a stacking partner. I'll have just a few Caleb/Moore/Odunze stacks. I'll be mixing in ARSB, Jamo, a lot of Gibbs, and Laporta in bring backs.

This feels like a nuclear Gibbs game coming.

That is a fun game to attack.

I will be sprinkling in Troy Franklin and T Thornton to my lineups. Both are cheap and both are due to to hook up with their QB's for a long TD. Troy had 6 targets week one but Bo was trash. Thornton had 3 deep balls thrown to him and caught one. As long as Worthy is out he is a great play. I just hope they aren't too highly owned.

Stokastic has a nice deal where if you sign up and place a bet on one or more of the gambling sites they have listed you get a free month of NFL. I think you only have to deposit and bet like 5 or 10 bucks. You take a screen shot after the bet settles and email Stokastic. I haven't done it because I am too lazy but I will. You can get several months if you sign up with several sites.

Hey guys, I just did my first mid-season best ball draft this year. I just can't get enough of the best ball man...it's so damn fun and addictive!

This format is weeks 5-8 only. 14 of the 32 teams (44%) have bye weeks during this period. I drafted from the #1 spot with some interesting choices.

3.1 - Took Nacua over JJ. This is close, both guys have a bye week. I think I was caught up in Nacua bein such a target monster for Stafford and JJ getting fewer targets in his MNF opener.

9.1 - Took Pearsall over Pickens and Deebo. Pearsall should get a ton of targets with Kittle out, but that scenario is likely only in week 5. Not sure who the best choice is out of the 3.

12.6 - Took Rice here where he can only play 2 games. I have 4 strong WRs drafted prior to this, with the #1 rated WR having no bye weeks. This leaves me passing on Jameson, who showed no big plays in week 1, but he was playing the Packers D. Also passed on Jeudy who is showing more target competition in Cleveland.

13.1 - Took Kittle. He could play weeks 6-8 or 7-8.

15.1 - Took Javonte as he had no bye weeks. Pass on Mason (one bye) and Dobbins (no bye) and Judkins (one bye).

17.1 - Took QJ (no bye) for the spike week potential over Odunze (one bye).

Feel free to give feedback and let me know what you think. Overall I think my team fares well. Team 3 overdrafted QBs, where Team 6 only drafted one QB and one TE.

Just did an extremely slappy thing

Traded a 28 1st for Fannin in a 2x tep ppr 14tm dynasty league
