2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
I'd definitely pick up Spears and stash him.
Does your league allow bench drops after the game has completed? If so, I'd start with Shipley tonight, but I'm assuming he's already owned since you didn't mention him. And then if Barkley doesn't get injured, you can drop him for the next upside shot. If you can drop after the game and Shipley is owned, then Miles Sanders could be a good look too, assuming Javonte and Blue are already owned.
Of the backfields you listed, I think Monangai has a solid shot at a standalone and maybe if he's somehow good enough, he could take the job from Swift. It's unlikely but possible, whereas all of the other backfields you listed have an ingrained starter that likely can't lose the job without injury.
I also like Dowdle and Tahj Brooks. Corum/Hunter are worth shots given how valuable the Rams backfield is, but it's tough to say how it'll look and I'd rather be chasing one guy than 2 right now with the other options you have available.
I wouldn't bother with Hill, Gainwell or the GB backups.
Rico should have standalone with upside if Chuba gets injured.
I’m ashamed I clicked him twice or so since he signed.
Good news for Thornton and Bech. I could have seen the coaches forcing Amari in there just because.
One of the wildest rooms I've been in all season. I have to post the board. One team went single QB with Flacco in the last round. Two teams went single TE with Theo and Waller in the last round. One team went 4 QBs and 5 TEs. Amari still drafted in the 17th.
I also stole Justin Fields from a drafter named JustinFields to go with my 5th round Wilson.
Pacheco at 77 is vn
My final 2 Puppies. So of course I went full Phins in both. One with Tua and one without.
Spoiler

I really wanted that Harvey fall, but Pacheco was a nice consolation.
Your last puppies look good. Bryce/Tua might be a little light, but it can work. The Warren/Loveland combo is fun.
In my last 2 Millys now. Will fire a few more Puppies. And then that will be that.
Just love when the early season production guys pop up with hammys a few days before week 1 kickoff.
I have so much Kirk too, 2 yrs in a row. I never learn haha
Thankfully, the game is still beatable. I just saw Amari drafted again in one of my Millys lol. Pick 219.
The Kirk injury hurts, but at least I've been drafting Higgins and Noel too.
Both teams are decent both nothing special, though team 1 had a really nice 4 round start from the 1.09.
Spoiler

Millys in the book. Probably going to fire 4-6 more Puppies before lock and then be done. Looks like it'll overlay slightly.
Ended up getting almost 100 puppy 4s in, so here are my final exposures. Ended up at 901 total between pre, post, and sf
Most worried about : soft fade on Saquon (4%) and Henry (3%). Along with the Saquon / Henry soft fades I’m equally concerned about my Shipley / Hill exposures
Most happy about : Jaylen Warren/Zay Flowers exposure. I can’t believe their pricing, same with Waddle/Olave. The only reason I don’t have more of the 3 WRs is because of Egbuka and Hunter and all the other fun WRs that were going in that range
Last minute Best Ball
$10 - 10 man - Underdog
Herbert, Penix, Geno
Jeanty, Conner, Pollard, Judkins, Najee
BTJ, JSN, Odunze, Olave, K. Coleman, Addison, C. Kirk, Horton
McBride, H. Henry
I have a couple 6 in a rows, but under 5 for sure. I think last year I had almost exclusively 6 through 7
Already heartbreaking. I had to pass on Burden at 130. Maybe I should have still taken him lol. I'll post the finished product in a few.
It's alright. I think is why I stopped taking so many WRs in the top 7 rounds lol, like jimmy mentioned a couple of posts ago. I definitely had way more 5-6 WRs through 7 round teams last year, along with one of the round 4-6 TEs. Then just got crushed by the early RBs.
Also got sniped on Theo, and that really tilted me. As I wanted both TEs stacked when I'm going light and stopping at 2. I decided I should still stop at 2 and add a 7th RB. No idea what's correct haha.
Caleb, Tua, Dart
Mason, Kaleb, Mondre, Ollie, Ford, Monangai, Pierce
Nabers, Puka, Reek, Tet, DJM, Devonta
Loveland, Juwan
The ever popular 3-7-6-2 build!
Let's see how bad the Giants get, maybe Dart will be in there soon.
Pete has made it. This is pretty cool.
After you all pumped up my squad in my 1st ever best ball I did a 2nd one... you also gave me the confidence to jump from a $3 BI to a $20.
fields, caleb, love
jeanty, pollard, kaleb johnson, sampson, spears
nacua, m evans, garrett wilson, olave, pittman, bateman, j palmer, bech
mcbride, okonkwo, gesicki, juwon johnson
For those keeping score at home: my exposure to fields, love, mike evans and garrett wilson are exactly 100%.
Jaydon blue inactive
That’s cool. More snaps for Javonte and Miles to look terrible against that Eagles D.
