Are we supposed to bluff catch here? Or is this a snap fold?
2/2 live 5 to call 5 handed
V is a huge fish, often calls with random draws on flop+turn. Seen him play very passively even with boats. He didn't bet when he hitted trips on turn, river bet small, tank call a small raise with a small boat in a limp 3 way pot.
H has tried cbetting a few times with 0 success. Was trying to take pot down since it's short handed but seems everybody is super sticky.
Btn rock straddle to 10, 1 limper, H opens to 45 w/KJT9 ds in mp, V calls in CO.
Pot 100
Flop AA8r
Hero cbets 40 V calls????
Pot 180
Turn J
Hero checks, V snap jams for 160, Immediately he say stuff like you going to fold, so don't even need to bother putting his chips out or whatever.
I have a feeling he's trying to get me to fold.
Ok, he's never jamming boats here right?
But there were 0 draws on flop. Can he be floating with random trash?
So he only has Axxx? We are nearly dead vs any A.
We were supposed to cbet right?

Your read that he's passive indicates we shouldn't cbet this. You seem to think it also may indicate he floated something random and is now bluffing turn with it.
I tend to think in these spots where it's not a very big bet vs a big fish you can confirm a read on you should just go with your feeling he's trying to get you to fold and pay him off if he's got it. You will confirm a read on how he plays as well as his speech play. If you're wrong you can adjust accordingly in the future
I don't c-bet vs passive, sticky players. As played, I fold.
