there's nothing quite like financial advice from a broke homeless man

He started his dividend fund in 2020. Since 2020, the S&P500 has returned over 95%+. Last year it made 21%, and the year before 23%. Now, with the market at all time highs, the hobo buffoon decides to get into the S&P500 (mutual fund, wouldn't want to do an ETF).

Vlogger Homelessbieber reports he has a degree in computer engineering yet is still homeless and walking the strip for donations. He states he is jealous of mechanics who make $100,000 per year. He is following the Nomadic Method and is seeking livestream donations for a weekend room at Excalibur.

He reports he drinks and smokes heavily and walks 20 miles a day on the strip for his channel.

20 miles a day? Seems unreal.

by Petrucci m

My guess is that he probably was very close to being totally broke after he lost the 160 in that hand. When you overreact in such a way he did its often reasons within lifesituation for example personal economy that is the trigger. He also ended up leaving Vegas for months after that hand,so he totally lost it. Maybe that hand was the last straw on the camels back and made Rice r

According to Rice's Bankroll Management videos from his early videos(around the same time that he was recommending his viewers who wanted to move to Vegas, to get a job at UPS, lol), due to his low variance play style, he felt he only needed to keep a few buy-ins liquid, and all poker profit above that, he would invest. So, the know-it-all being ignorant of possible bad poker variance, was always on a short liquid poker bankroll. And, having had losing sessions prior to the Red Rock massacre, it explains why his world fell apart from losing $160 from his way-less-than $1k liquid poker bankroll. The worst thing he could do, in his teary eyes, would be to cash out some of his invested poker money for new poker buy-ins. He must've seen that as a low variance play style failure.

Agreed. Its also very possible that he had alot less in the bank compared to what he is saying in his videos.

Like it would add alot to the stress if "few buyins liquid" actually was a huge part of his total bankroll. Thats what i suspect really, that the reason he didnt keep more money cash is simply because he didnt have alot more in the first place.

It's entirely possible. However I have know characters like Rice over the years (just not to quite the same extreme) and they are steadfastly just as tight with the purse strings regardless of how much money they have in the bank. That's what makes it a sickness.

I know people like that do excist. However another pattern that is classic for Rice is to present himself as alot more than he is and alot more successful than he really is.

It will fit right into this pattern for him to lie about how big of a bankroll has,in order to make himself look better.

As he have done with cooking,health/exercise,presenting himself as a pokerpro, lying saying he makes more than he needs at 1/3 so dont have to play 2/5.

My bottomline with Rice is that he is a massive loser in near every way,but he is very busy and is using alot of tools to try paint another picture of himself.

Today ELD embarks on a Nomadic trip to Reno.

ELD reveals that Silver Legacy poker room awards 34 points per hour and is honoring the 10X promo which will then allow Nomads to earn Diamond tier in 44 hours.

ELD proofreads a sign at the airport before takeoff.

Circus Circus Reno mistakenly charges ELD the resort fee which will cause ELD to spend time with a host to get it removed in the next video.

It was clear he was pretty close to losing his shyt,as soon as he started talking about paying resort fees.

That is one of the things he cant handle, you can easily see it in his eyes, his facial expressions, his damina he is extremely annoyed and is ready to boil over if he kept talking about it.

While they exist you also have to factor in that for a while he gleefully reported his 14 dollar an hour winnings and thought he would become the second (maybe third?) according to him person to ever retire off of poker winnings. Then for the last several years he stopped reporting them and would speak in riddles instead. Last year he started dealing during wsop. After that was the RRM and much less poker play. This year he's dealing even more- including doing double duty for the wsop. That's not someone doing well financially.

I guess at least unlike Trooper he's slowly coming to the conclusion that this 1/2 nl for a living stuff is pure nonsense and that he needs a job.

Troopers so video from 3 days ago popped up so gave it a watch
Its 15 or so minutes of a bonus round where he does not stop complaining. He clearly has a big gambling problem

Also quite funny how many times he explained the same basic thing to LT.

Rice needs to learn how to play poker and quit all this dealing foolishness. He's does not need to be tied down by a low level grunt job. He needs to be unburdened by what has been

If I remember correctly, when Trooper first got started, he admitted that he had a gambling problem with slot machines & video poker. He just about went "cold turkey" when he moved to Vegas. The only exceptions were if he had some type of free play or matching coupon. The other exception was that if one of his fans paid to run $XXX.XX of money through a slot machine. I think this was from people who lived in a jurisdiction where they could NOT gamble. Trooper would also make a video of him playing the money, and I think he got to split the winnings.

Trooper was pretty smart & disciplined with this approach.

NOW? I fear that he is right on the edge of getting back into bad habits. It appears that some of the "AP plays" are very low margin & very high volatility. It is easy to make a mistake with this. You are too close to the margin of error. It is also foolish to do this UNLESS you've got a massive bankroll.

I would think a worse loss than the money would be losing the Lady Trooper. Trooper busted out from playing poker, he busted out from making candy (and lost a lot of $$$ doing so), will he bust out from AP? Will LT put up with it? Trooper also risks falling back into the old degenerate ways.

He is risking a lot to get a little.

Cold water on the right. Floors are for standing on. Windows, you look out of. Basically, not complicated. Thermostat for temperature up and down. Seen those before.

A former problem gambler trying to do AP slots for a living is like a recovering alcoholic getting a job as a bartender. It might work out for a while but it only takes one thing to trigger a backslide, it's basically playing with fire.

Sadly in my experience when long time gamblers turn to Poker or AP stuff like BJ or sports betting it usually ends in disaster. At their core they are still gamblers and their impulsive nature will get the best of them sooner or later.

Since when is 7 hours long session?

compared to his usual 2 hours it is

He's motivated now to sit and fold for much longer stretches because he is earning 20x the number of tier points. Maintaining Diamond status means he can continue practicing the Nomadic Method in Vegas for at least another year in the smug comfort that he is accustomed.

The bolded might have something to do with being homeless.

Also, a degree in computer engineering is not as spffy as it sounds if your background is in a discipline that's not in vogue at the moment.

Another reason etf's are better. Some mutual funds charge a commission/fee to buy or sell. ETF's are like stocks and most brokerages don't charge a commission to buy or sell. Likewise many stock brokerages can do instant bank transfers, whereas some mutual fund companies can take an extra day.

Yeah, absolute classic. As soon as he is up on his feet the heavy breathing starts.

That is not just overweight in itself, thats being in horrible shape overall.

Today ELD features the drink machine which is one of the best drink machines ELD has seen.

A Nomad can theoretically sustain himself via a liquid diet consisting of the free drinks due to the hot chocolate, coffee heavily fortified with milk and cream, and the honey packets.
