2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
As far as the late TE, I prefer one in the round 8-12 window and then two late more than all 3 late. But that’s a solid group for 3 late. There are always late TEs that beat ADP.
You might be right. Here's my second stab at going hero WR and punting TE, except I only punted my last 2 TEs. I think doing it this way is better because now in rounds 15/16, I can get 2 boom/bust WR and/or RBs.
Pulled up Jacobs to 1.13 for a unique BTJ/Jacobs combo.
Maye, TLaw
Jacobs, Henderson, Tracy, Sampson, Gordon, Giddens
BTJ, Terry, Waddle, Hunter, Downs, Mooney, Franklin
Henry, Fannin, Juwan
Just finished my first ever guilotine draft. MEH. 14 teams 1 QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex and 7 bench spots.
I had the undesireable 14th pick. Coulda went better but coulda gone worse and some teams look bad so I hope I survive week one anyway.
1. (14) Brian Thomas Jr. (Jax - WR)
2. (15) Josh Jacobs (GB - RB)
3. (42) DK Metcalf (Pit - WR)
4. (43) Kenneth Walker III (Sea - RB)
5. (70) Patrick Mahomes (KC - QB)
6. (71) Emeka Egbuka (TB - WR)
7. (98) Jerry Jeudy (Cle - WR)
8. (99) Jake Ferguson (Dal - TE)
9. (126) Bhayshul Tuten (Jax - RB)
10. (127) Darnell Mooney (Atl - WR)
11. (154) Jaydon Blue (Dal - RB)
12. (155) Jerome Ford (Cle - RB)
13. (182) Roschon Johnson (Chi - RB)
14. (183) Cade Otton (TB - TE)

Looks solid. Great price on Jeudy, especially in this format
Early 6th round Rashee. I think I structured it right.
I'm gonna need Jeanty and Mason to stay healthy until Najee is up to speed. I should have gone with 6 RB's. My last two guys are garbage because I waited too long.
Why is Maye falling in every draft I do? I probably could have passed on K Williams and grabbed a 4th decent RB. I was too focused on getting Maye a stacking partner and having coverage while Rashee sits.
QB) Love, Maye
RB) Jeanty, Mason, Najee, Guerrendo, Brooks.
WR) BTJ, Devonta, Tet, Pearsall, Rashee, Jayden Reed, Mooney, K Williams
TE) Kraft, Jonnu, Fanning

The biggest thing I would've done differently is taken a RB over either Reed or Mooney, or taken 6 like you said, AP.

No doubt I could use some RB reinforcement with this team. I was trying to prepare some stacking partners for love with the Reed pick and Mooney for penix who I didn't get.

Fanning seriously has a chance to be a league winning TE. There is a good chance NJoku gets moved before the trade deadline.
Smart move getting Franklin especially with Mims pulling something.
This is a solid team.
That was the Milly. The team is:
Spoiler
Fields, Trevor, BryceKW, Breece, Mason, Tuten, Spears, GiddensNabers, BTJ, Evans, Tet, Addison, Aiyuk, Horton, Reynolds Warren, Sanders, Arroyo
Doesn't feel great having both Addison and Aiyuk, but Aiyuk fell to 155 lol. Also helps that I started 4 straight WRs.Also drafted the $15 single entry Button Hook.
I really like your first team. I'm starting to think that Bryce is gonna be really good this year. You should have an excellent floor with upside with this QB room.
You did a good job of loading up RB's and WR's and then grabbing good players who will be missing time early.
Warren is such an easy pick when you wait on TE. He's gonna smash for sure.

I didn't intend on drafting a 6th RB but I got sniped on the WR's I wanted and I think Najee is a fine addition.
Kelce is gonna be thinking about Taylor and will take a bad hit. If not, Gray can still spike a few weeks.
QB) Mahomes, Nix, Bryce
RB) Henry, Harvey, Mason, Tuten, Allen, Harris
WR) ARSB, Tet, Worthy, Pearsall, Bryant, Franklin
TE) Engram, Sanders, Gray
Only my 2nd Mixon team, but I'll take a shot at 164 for my last RB.
Dak, Maye
KW, Jones, Tracy, Bigsby, Sampson, Mixon
CD, Reek, Worthy, Pearsall, K Williams, TeSlaa, Bryant, Bech
Bowers, Juwan

I think that WR room is probably too weak for 6, but at least you leaned into the stacking. I think I would have passed on Najee for a 7th WR, even if you didn't like them. I'm guessing a few would have made sense.
Dumb work league12-teamsFull PPR6pt / passing TDQB / 2RB / 2WR / 2FLEX / TEMostly hate it but wtf knows.
If you go RB over Terry at the 3/4 turn, it looks better. I also don't like Burrow there, but I get it in 6 pt passing TD. It doesn't look as bad as Baker in the 5th haha. I guess he wanted to secure the stack.
As stands, I think I'd drop either Kirk or Douglas for Sampson. Shipley, Dowdle, and Giddens are also a few other backs that should be rostered. I like Goedert more in best ball than managed. I know roster spots are limited, but I'd be scanning the wire each week for a upside TE upgrade.

I'm jealous that's only your 2nd Mixon team haha. I hate opening a slow and seeing him or Judkins. Looks good and Mixon is a fine swing there.
Torn between a 3rd TE (Higbee, Juwan, or T Ferg) with my final pick, and then pivoted to Guerendo. Don't think it's ever bad to buy the SF backup RBs.
Allen, Darnold
Kamara, Kaleb, ETN, BRob, Mondre, CRod, Guerendo
Nabers, Ladd, Tet, Rice (66), Shakir, Tre, Horton
Kincaid, Arroyo
My 18 team PPR Guillotine from the 15 spot. Draft went 191 flex players deep as 7 teams took a second QB. Really only scraps left for the last couple rounds
1. (15) Jonathan Taylor (Ind - RB)
2. (22) A.J. Brown (Phi - WR)
3. (51) Xavier Worthy (KC - WR)
4. (58) Tony Pollard (Ten - RB)
5. (87) Evan Engram (Den - TE)
6. (94) Khalil Shakir (Buf - WR)
7. (123)Cooper Kupp (Sea - WR)
8. (130)Jared Goff (Det - QB)
9. (159)DeAndre Hopkins (Bal - WR)
10. (166)Dameon Pierce (Hou - RB)
11. (195)Pat Bryant (Den - WR)
12. (202)Miles Sanders (Dal - RB)
I think that one looks good. Those first 4 picks are set up nicely to carry you in the initial stage.
Worthy and Kupp are my favorite values.
The guys you added late could all have early roles too.
The only pick I don’t care for is Engram. I’d rather have taken another RB/WR there then taken a later TE that will likely project similarly to Engram to start the season.

I prefer the 3rd TE on that one and simply betting on BRob. Kincaid/Arroyo is pretty light.
Dak, Fields, Dimes
Gibbs, Bucky, Hampton, Roschon, Hunter
Pickens, DJM, Diggs, Pittman, Aiyuk, Doubs, Ky Williams, Horton
Laporta, Goedert
Did I get enough juice at wr after rbx3 start?
It can probably work, but I think I would have leaned into Dak/Fields and added one more instead of Dimes.

Thanks - I was probably too focused on filling my starting lineup before depth and a 45s clock doesn't leave a lot of time to study your options. My thinking was he has a decent shot to finish #2 in Denver targets but boom or bust not a great strategy for Guillotine.
