Borg is absolutely right he is going to make a good action game to break eventually, then have no clue why people got super tilted and left.

He's already done that twice (that he has reported about) Must have been while you were away from here lol

by borg23 m

I can't wait until he pisses off some real high level CET player dicking around at 1/3 nl going all in blind every hand. He'd also have the entire table mad at him for chasing the guy off while swearing he was right and a great dealer.

We had one guy like that at my local. Would go in blind for $300. Made for some fun but stressful games. Stressful in that you were hoping for anything to get it in.

Vlogger Frugal Off Grid reports he bought acre of land in Northern Arizona close to Vegas and then raises pigs for $1 per pound of sausage meat and ribs at 400 lbs per year. He can eat rice and has a greenhouse garden. Then he also has an engine hoist setup for engine removal and repair for his truck for Nomadic vehicle repair. The land only cost $1800 total. Solar panels provide electricity and rain water reclamation provides drinking water.

The issue I have with pman other than him being a thin skinned 30 year old man child is that he very likely tricked his family and friends into backing him into tourneys and cash games by portraying himself as a professional poker player that is profitable. If that's the case then he is trending into scammer territory imo. You can call him harmless but imo he has shown that he

If this is true I would tend to agree. Misrepresenting your results to get backing from people who may not know better is wrong.
But if pman made a super transparent and honest post about his results and his financial situation I would respect him for it. When I asked for his results and more information about his financial situation I wasn't doing it to make fun of him. I just wanted to know because he put himself out there in the public space and that's the kind of information people want from a poker blog and channel. If he doesn't want to share that's fine, but poker vlogging is not for you.
But if he was like, listen I tried but I'm a -5bb/100 player, I still hope to get better I would like him much more.
Hell, I'm not talented or smart. It took a bit of work for me to beat micros regularly. I don't feel shame about that

He posted lifetime cash results from all formats and he was losing like 20+bb/100. That’s when my view of him shifted from late bloomer struggling to get his life together to degen scammer. It’s impossible to lose at that rate at low stakes if you are getting coaching from solid players and actually trying. Thats a sign of either gambling addiction or some massive mental handicap.

If he was honest I'd respect him. But when he claims to be a poker pro it's a scam. When he claims to have invested early and made a lot of money in bitcoin he's lying. People who've made a lot of money in bitcoin aren't begging for stakes for dirt stakes events, selling half to some 500 dollar employee event (imagine having to give away half of your miracle bink over 250 dollars while claiming Bitcoin money) and aren't entering every free poker giveaway they see on Twitter.

You have to realize that it isn't hatred. It's criticism. I know in the social media world people like yourself and Trooper refuse to work. I know you use some made up malady and say you can't work because of anxiety but it's total BS. If you are going to claim to be something and not work at it and just stay in bed all day and call us trolls that is fine. I happen to think you can be a much better poker player than you are but you refuse to work at it and refuse to work a job to build a roll to play properly. You will get some resentment sure but it's not hatred. At the end of the day there is only person to blame and that is yourself. People like Boski are successful because he has worked at his game and built a bank roll. Doesn't post vids of him in bed blaming trolls for his misfortunes and his tourney results show.

Try it and stop the victim stuff.

This. 100% this. And the blocking and the shadowbanning and all the other things that are done to cultivate the image you want people to see.

It’s all fake. It’s why we laugh when he has “professional poker player” in his bio. It’s a ludicrous statement by any measure. And laughing at it isn’t hating. It’s a criticism because him calling himself a pro makes it that much harder for all the true professionals who’ve put real work into their livelihoods.

He's been coddled in an echo chamber his entire life. As a result he can't handle an ounce of criticism. His parents probably called him Wonder Boy growing up

I know it's the world we live in , but people who CHOOSE to live their lives on social media and then can't handle any criticism are really bizarre.

by redantfarm m

I think Pman is ok, he seems well meaning and harmless. Due to his personality I don't think he is equipped to handle the harsh criticism he gets. Sure, he may get some financial assistance from his father, but that isn't a crucifiable offense. I think if he came clean with that aspect of his life, he would defuse a lot of the hate he has been receiving.

oh yeah he's a real nice guy

jumps on the bandwagon to rip someone for a tweet, then when they delete the tweet he sees that as opportunity for another unnecessary smear

by bobw525 m

Someone needs to sit at rices table for a couple hours and see if his claims of being a great dealer are legit. Anything less than average of 20 hands per down diffuses his claims.

I have. He deals slow as ****.

During the PH tournaments with 15 minute levels, you are lucky to get 5 hands a level with Rice dealing. He’s that slow.

Interesting field report. It does not surprise me however.

Rice is the type of lifenit that will deal as slow as he can to preserve his energy, and to make his working hours as mundane+robotic as humanly possible.

Especially during the summer when he worked double/triple shift all the time on basically zero sleep walking around like a zombie-i would think his dealing was record slow.

Thanks you took my point to another level. Which is the reason for the resentment. I am not a pro poker player but I have worked hard enough to be in a place where I just work 36 weeks a year and have Retirment and health insurance and can play poker with a decent roll.

That's funny PChild says something like that when he acts like that himself.

You don't get tipped at the end of each hand in a tournament, so naturally Rice is going to expend the least amount of energy and effort as possible dealing tournaments.

He admitted that during tournaments to give his shoulder a break he will often deal with his other arm. Obviously this will slow down the pace of his dealing. Of course he only does this for tournament downs where his pay isn't affected by how many hands he deals. He even got into an argument with a couple of players who challenged him about it. Apparently they were not well versed in ELD's rubric.

Unpossible! He's so fast, he sometimes deals left-handed!

I thought he naturally dealt left-handed?

Yes so for ELD, dealing "lefty" is actually dealing "rightie"
