Las Vegas Poker Player Vlogs

Don't forget his trip to Aruba. I think most here were fans of the Trooper back in the Desert Manor days, or at least secretly rooting for him to succeed. He was actually likeable back then. Now he's just turned into a miserable arrogant ***hole.

I remember. I thought it was the Bahamas, but I am sure you are correct. He did some good things back then.

The most amazing thing about Trooper is he actually has FEWER viewers/subscribers now than he did 5 years ago.

And it is not as if he stopped vlogging, such as Pokerkraut, Ryan Frechette, etc.

Trooper has had a regular vlog, oftentimes DAILY, and somehow he has a net loss of viewers and subscribers over the past 5 years. That seems almost impossible..

News 3 reports Clark County code enforcement raids an abandoned East Las Vegas home filled with Nomads and boards up same to prevent Nomadic squatter return.

A second Nomadic home had 20 Nomads living in same and the 20 Nomads were also removed.

The problem is it hasn't been daily or a poker vlog for the last year or two.

The Aruba trip vlogs were actually depressing. It was obvious that Trooper went on the trip dead broke. All he could do was walk the beach, since that doesn't cost any money, and wait for the free dinner from his sponsors.

Very similar to Rice's trip to SanFrancisco, when Vegas room rates were too high, and he homelessly wandered parks and playgrounds with his pocket bread, sleeping on the plane flight there and back.

I think the difference between the two at the time is Troop was still hustling and trying to get somewhere in life, while Rice is smug in his belief that his pman pathetic ways is the best way to live.

Now, Trooper really isn't trying to get anywhere, the journey is over, he is just doing whatever is easy to keep a roof over his head without having to get a job while Rice has moved up to having a permanent location living in a closet.

Agreed. What i think was peak Trooper is when he was living at Desert Manor,but hungry and went full steam ahead to live in a better place. He was fighting to survive and go somewhere in life. He was at least decent at poker at this point,his rants were funny/on point++.

But it was a genius move by ELD because he was able to use up the last few dollars on his BART card that were about to expire otherwise lol

Today ELD reads a stupid mean comment from a poker dealer and ELD opines the stupid commenter never dealt poker.

Another commenter who is grammatically incorrect forgets to add a period to his stupid mean comment.

ELD is always checking his paychecks to make sure employers do not steal from ELD.

ELD has enough saved in his dividend fund that he never has to deal with "big wigs" who cause him stress.

ELD states the great dealers are not ubiquitous. ELD takes in a lot of hands per hour and allows casinos to greatly profit.

ELD is much better than the average dealer.

ELD is a hall of fame dealer and ELD follows the rubric.

The last commenter is miserable and makes fun of ELD's small bed in the corner. There are bedrooms smaller than ELD's room and thus it is not the case the room is small.

ELD is independent whereas the commenter is dependent on a job and high rent payments.

ELD shakes his head and condemns derogatory comments.

And Trooper has stated that accomplished what he set out to do in Vegas.

He also thinks he is know for his honesty.

He was REALLY sensitive in this one. Wow.

If he was smarter, that's what he would do. Get in some mild arguments, and just don't care about what they say, but appear to care. Sklansky used to do that here - post controversial topics in various off-topic forums that he knew would stir up some people.

You have to give him one thing - he's always throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. He's got 10x the imagination that Diesel has.

Trooper used to be interesting, back in the day. Then he got too lazy and ‘gave up’ a couple years ago.

I stopped watching Rice after the first vlog I viewed where he talked about his inventory of fruit he ‘owned’. That was enough for me..

Ten years ago he was basically the only vlogger and had an interesting story of moving to Vegas to be a poker pro. Some people told him flat out he sucked at poker, others were nice enough to offer free coaching which of course he turned down. All of these people were labeled haters who must be shown.

A decade later and he's made peanuts in poker, has a stagnant game while others have gotten way better and rakes have gonna up a lot which really hurts people grinding dirt stakes. And he's bitter about his failures while swearing he's on own man and he's made it.

Watching someone fail over and over again while they lash out and get more miserable by the day just isn't interesting.

If someone from your HS who was really good at football was trying to make the NFL it might be an interesting story at first. But if they're 35 playing rec league football on weekends still swearing they're gonna make the NFL it's just a train wreck.

The only reason he isn't living in the tunnels is bc he did what the haters said to- either get a job or monetize the vlogs.

He always had a side to him that was miserable and paranoid about haters.

To be fair, he has a really likeable side to him as well. That’s why you’ll see fans say he was a super nice guy and wonder why anyone would hate him. If he acted like that more often, he wouldn’t get the negative reactions that he gets.

The few times I played with him he had 3 different personalities. One time he was super nice, funny and likeable. Another time he just sat there not saying a word and was on his phone a lot. Another time he looked very miserable, berated a fish, got angry about little insignificant stuff that nobody else cared about, and the mood at the table seemed tense and at least a couple of players disliked him. Of course on the vlog he showed a positive, optimistic personality which was nothing like his attitude at the table (when he looked miserable).

He definitely looked more comfortable with being a dick in front of a bunch of people than most people would be.

He actually has succeeded in one way that he didn’t before. He has Lady Trooper in his life. He definitely looks less lonely than he did before. It was a major goal of his to find Mrs. Trooper.

It doesn’t matter if the candy business fails, or if his podcast fails, or if he goes broke over and over again. She will still be right beside him and laugh at everything he says, as if he was the funniest man on the planet.

Yes,i agree he surprisingly binked that one. I mean,talk about hitting the lottery ticket and hitting lightening in a small bottle.

This post is spot on. I used to root for Trooper, like many. Then he did some incredibly stupid things the topper being moving up from 1/2 to 5/T for a single Tuesday afternoon session at the Bellagio where he blew half his ‘roll.

At least Trooper was interesting back then. I don’t get why anyone watches Rice. He might just be the most uninteresting person in all of Las Vegas..

Why isn't there a Mrs. Trooper?

Are either of them already married?

Is one or both of them receiving a stipend that would terminate if remarried?

Can they afford $60 for a marriage license?

Does one of them have something on the side with ElD?

He would complain about how unlucky he was but he actually runs much better than he realizes. He hit a bbj, has gone on some big heaters in poker, he found Lady Trooper, and someone else posting about him on 2+2 when he had less than 300 subscribers helped him out A TON.

If nobody started a thread about him on 2+2 who knows how long it would have taken for him to get to 500 subscribers.
