Can someone explain this cracker barrel thing to me. Companies change logos all the time. I've seen the before and after. I don't get what the problem is.

I just do not get the logic of changing the logo. We do mot have Cracker Barrels in Canada but it looks like we have to get rid of the old white guy as a individual complained its racist

Let alone the cost to change everything makes no sense Looks Woke to me

i do because i have relatives in digital marketing.

It's symmetrical and scalable for the digital era. It's a pain in the ass to use the previous logo in small or stretched ads online. Or as an icon for apps and so on.

Digital marketing makes it so that symmetrical logos are far more preferrable, and with simple geometric shapes as well.

That said it's normal for conservative to oppose all change just because it's change. That's what being conservative means. You don't want change, unless it's about going back to something previously existing which you liked. You simply do not want changes.

That's conversatism basic instict (and that's why i am not a conservative, or at least, i am only conservative about a few selected things). But they are so they hate change.

And this specific company CEO is a woke communist which pushed DEI at the corporate level a lot so they got angrier than usual for the logo change, that's about it.

in other news, german experts agree with cordie about trans-ness and prisons, and this is the result https://www.thetimes.com/world/europe/ar...

Lol at that moustache

Probably the 'most stupidest' meme I've seen in a while.

One can certainly dislike something and/or find something or someone repulsive without "fearing" them.

This is middle-school level stuff. (If they're really , really dumb.)

At least with the city stuff--I know a fair few people in the outlying suburbs etc that are pretty much terrified of the city lol Some may go to the stadiums for football/baseball games but that's always in a group. If you were to suggest going down to kick around parts of town on foot built around that(shops etc) they'd think you'd lost your mind 😀 So fear really is a part of it for some of these things.

They are 100% terrified of cities. It’s hilarious.

A conservative is someone who doesn't think anything should be done for the first time.

I guess 80% of the country hates the trans because they believe it’s unfair for men to compete against women including many women who are part of the LGB group

Could you please cite a source for that 80% figure? Thanks.

by jalfrezi

We all know what hatred is, Luciom. Some words are so well understood they don't need one of your cack-handed economics definitions.

https://www.dictionary.com/browse/hate

to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest.

by jalfrezi

Funny how no one ever admits to hating unknown groups of people, yet there's so much of it around.

Even Luciom would deny it, and probably cite Econ libertarianism as a justification for millions of planned deaths.

What 'unknown groups of people' do you hate?

People are mad because it's perceived as another attack on the existence of white people. Old white man on your sign is very uncool in [current year].

People should be mad because it's the loss of another iconic historic logo to the new trend of minimalist everything-looks-the-same garbage. Right result, wrong path, we let it slide.

I don't recall ever eating at a Cracker Barrel.

But I get not wanting an old white guy as your logo.

And Jussie Smollet is looking for work, so maybe he could be the model for a new logo.

You people are just stupid.

I disagree that people should be mad about a company voluntarily changing their logo. Of course, you are free to be as mad about it as you want.

by biggerboat

You people are just stupid.

And your role model is a lying, grifting pedophile. So go ahead and get in an uproar about stupid **** like this.

In before Trump issues an executive order forcing Cracker Barrel to keep the old logo.

Can't wait to see how ecstatic you are when trump and his fascists complete the forced takeover of our country. I'm sure you'll love it because corporations won't be able to change their logos any more. Good going.

You're in quite an uproar about folks being in an uproar. Kinda ironic, don't ya think?

Hey, I'm not just stupid, Buster Brown! I'm also a bigot, remember?

Corporations should update their logos as needed, but this was just a bad outcome.

The only thing that would've made it worse is if they went full App and just had "CB" inside their wannabe orange barrel.

by geezerchess

I'm in an uproar because we're on the brink of a fascist dictatorship and the insos of the world care more about a corporate logo.

Insoo is a white middle aged capitalist. Of course fascism doesn’t concern him.

Does fascism concern black middle-aged capitalists?

Thanks for giving us permission to be in an uproar about stoopid stuff. I was concerned you were going to prohibit us from doing so.

I think biggerboat is also an white middle-aged capitalist*, and fascism for sure concerns him. Nice try though.

*He owns a house and takes golf lessons. He could literally be the poster boy or even the CEO for White Middle-Age Capitalist, Inc.
