Dublin, Ireland, later this month (March 2025)
Will be in Ireland and would like to play poker one night in Dublin -- probably Thursday, March 27. Cash games. PLO if possible; NLHE is fine if that's all they offer.
Recommendations?

Be careful in dublin, as an Irish person here alot of dodgy **** going on in the capital at the moment so please look after yourself and if possible do not commute by yourself.
Take care
Also I believe what you're looking for can be found in Fitzgerald casino but be wary of your surroundings
Thanks. We are traveling with a friend who is from Dublin and his sister, who still lives there. Interesting to hear it's dodgy.
We loved Ireland (Dublin, Connemara (near Letterfrack / Tully Cross / Clifden, Doolin, Killarney, train back to Dublin for a few more nights).
FWIW, we thought Dublin was very safe, including north of the Liffey. We played poker at D1 Casino in Drumcondra and had a great time. Friendly players, good dealers, great brush, low rake, cheap food, and free drinks. The only negative was the time it took to "join, " but it was no big deal. Played NLHE and PLO. Would definitely go back.
(We walked to The Cobblestone in Smithfield from the Liffey for a pint and live music, then Ubered to the Auld Triangle for a pint, then walked to D1. The Cobblestone was great!)
hey, I'm also staying near Dublin for a couple of weeks and I used this thread to find a place to play, but now Im wondering - is the D1 club still open? I emailed them to ask about the games, then I submitted a membership request via their website and I got zero response
Sorry, I have no idea. I hope so, though. Have a wonderful trip!
I ended up going to D1 twice. The registration was very quick, the games spread were 1/2 holdem and 1/2/5 PLO. I played holdem (no cap, so quite deep) and it was decent, on the first night the table started ultra nitty, but got progressively better throughout the night, unfortunately I had to leave early to catch the last train. On the second night the game was great from the get go, lot's of big stacks and straddle pretty much permanently on.
The only downside was the rake (15 cap at 1/2 + 2 jackpot drop in pots >100, which is high even for Europe), but free drinks and food did offset it a bit. Overall, fun spot to play, can recommend. I asked around the table and I dont believe there's a bigger daily holdem game than 1/2 anywhere.
Glad you had fun. We really enjoyed it. Free drinks definitely saves us money 😉 If you think that's high rake, though, don't play in Paris! It was 10% up to $40!!!
