Can anyone explain which countries are exempt from tariffs and why? We have a trade deficit with Russia, but they have no tariffs. Brazil has no deficit and tariffs. No one has ever presented any strategy other than a desired outcome of erasing trade deficits / bringing manufacturing back. We already make OJ and cows. Hating the US is a healthy viewpoint for the rest of the world ie the vast majority of people., even more so in the era of Trump. Glad to see American's universities are alive to this.

It’s like amputating your arm because you got a paper cut. Also, universities are probably the best place to explore these sorts of ideas. And the worst thing to do would be to have an insane authoritarian like Trump try to reform it. And probably the worst thing to do is to pull funding for some of our best medical research.
There’s just so many bad things about what Trump is doing it would be hard to go through them comprehensively. But even if he was the man for the job, many professors hating America doesn’t mean we need to burn it all down. The rate is still relatively low, it’s just higher than the general population.

why would i "demand" them? if there was anything actionable against republicans , Biden DOJ would have used them. It there was anything actionable against democrats, Trump DOJ would have used them.
So the files either have nothing (which is my probabilistic take), or implicate both parties in huge ways (which isn't impossible but sounds a little conspiratorial).
In either cases my side doesn't win by a release, so why would i care?
