Where is the television reporter on the ground in Gaza documenting the experience of a population in which 1/3 of the people go multiple days in a row without a single meal.
They don't want you to see those people ...... because they look a lot like images of Jews in the concentration camps in the 1940's. They don't want you to see the bony faces, protruding ribs and the look of fear in their eyes.
It's not that the desire of Israel to cover this up which is so strange ...... it's the recognition of how powerfully connected they are to the media coverage here in the USA. They have engineered a near complete blackout of on the ground media coverage.
The US was not always so fascist in its selective coverage of war. As a child, I remember seeing lots on footage from reporters on site in Vietnam. I remember scenes of them unloading coffins of US servicemen. I remember Dan Rather going to Afghanistan.
Now ... all we get is propaganda. The people running the media companies are just steering us in the direction of what they want to believe. It's not possible to exist as a journalist in Gaza. Maybe if you hire a large, well equipped private army. You will still probably be killed. 229 have been killed in Palestine after October 7.
