President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

He's cheated at literally everything he's ever done. This quote from a member of the Texas Democrats chapter sums it up quite well:

"He was caught on video cheating on the golf course; he cheated on his taxes, he cheated on his business loans, he cheated on his wives, he cheated on the business contractor that he stiffed through forty years of business, and he tried to cheat on the 2020 election."

It's pointless to discuss anything he's done as "successful." He's a cheater. It literally doesn't matter if he appears successful or not.

hes a highly successful con artist, rapist, mass murder which makes him one of the most successful embodiments of this genocidal empire. he is truly a "great American".

naturally this drives liberals crazy bc they have no way of reconciling this contradiction. Trump is the leader of your project and there is nothing you can say to deny it.

probably because i said neitheri think he's the single greatest buffoon in all of historyhowever, if you're going to assume none of his ventures were profitable then he ran the world's greatest ponzi for decades - which by all measures was successful in that it led to a presidencyyou can absolutely despise him - and there's so much to say about him that makes him objectively di

Bernard Lawrence Madoff had the best ponzi ever but nothing prevent trump being number 2.
tho trump more about frauding and grifting people then ponzi scheme.

I don't think Trump cracks the top 10 - but that could obviously change.

Allen Stanford literally offered high paying CDs in over 100 countries to loads of people for billions when there was never an actual CD. And he probably isn't even the #2 guy, just the guy I remember about. A lot of people pulled massive heists like that.

Edit: The Stanford guy looks like he might be #2. But I'd imagine that you could fill probably fill a stadium of degenerates who did worse than Trump

It sounds like a couple folks here believe Tr*mp was successful in business prior to 2016. Can anyone provide proof of this? I don't know all the details, but it's my understanding he was born a millionaire, squandered his inheritance, scammed his siblings and father for more, scammed, sued, bankrupted many businesses, ended up massively in debt with no way to repay, then became president. He does have assets, but he was born rich. Does being born rich mean you're a successful business person?

I never really thought about it, but I never realized there was so little behind the scenes communication between the BLS and the Fed. I guess it makes sense, Powell can't do something and say, "well you'll see why in a few days".

I was just thinking something else about the relationship between the two.

Trump has been wanting the Fed to lower interest rates and complaining that they're not for months now.

What might actually make them willing to lower rates? A weak jobs report. What was Trump just given?
Yep, a weak jobs report.

Is he happy about this because now the Fed will have a reason to lower rates? No, that would be too reasonable. He is so offended by the idea that his economy isn't doing so great that he claims the numbers are fixed to make him look bad.

If the numbers really have been cooked, the only reason that makes any logical sense would be to convince the Fed to do what Trump wants them to do.

I'm now on the edge my seat waiting to find out what Powell may say and do based on the job report.
And I think there's s almost no chance the numbers really were rigged, but I find it funny to think that someone may have thought they were doing Trump a favor, only to be accused of trying to hurt him and getting fired.

Lol ‘almost no chance’

There is literally no chance, come on dude

Say what you will about Victor, I find him objectively entertaining

Vic: biden did genocide
Vic: libs own this genocide
Vic: trump should win cuz biden did genocide
(Trump wins, Gaza predictably gets worse)
Vic: don’t blame me cuz biden did genocide
Vic: trump did biglier genocide
Vic: libs are mad cuz trump is a lib but more efficient
Vic: you are all trump
Vic: all Americans own the genocide
(Vic remains an American residing in America)
Vic: you are all complicit with trump and can’t reconcile it

Honestly if you take anything he says seriously that’s just on you at this point

I think there's a very slight chance that someone cooked the books thinking it would help Trump.
No chance that it was done to make him look bad.

The book cooking is on its way.

Trump will put one of his fox right wing commentator lapdogs in charge. He or she will fire their best people. Then he or she will definitely cook the books. And you'll see a rash of resignations and a few whistle-blowers. There will be a lot of faux grumbling from the Republicans. Then trump will do something else mind boggling bad and this nonsense will fade away as if nothing happened.

The lady had nothing to do with cooking the books or the numbers and no way deserved to be fired . Though this system of releasing job numbers and than a few months having to revise them on a consistent basis is nut. Maybe wait three months and release accurate numbers once

Dizzy Gallespie, MLK Jr, and Malcolm X were also all Americans.

I think it’s pretty white supremacist of you to think a rich old white guy represents all Americans, but we all know that white communists are secret KKK supporters

The numbers are revised as more surveys are returned by companies. If the companies return them in time, they are included in the initial report. If not, they are revised in later reports as they come in. There isn't any way to force companies to get them turned in on time.

Yeah, I don't know how they make it better. The problem is their preliminary numbers come from voluntary data and respondents haven't been respinding since coved

2 of those people were literally killed in government conspiracies. I dont think they can be considered examples of the American ideal when the American government helped murder them for their anti-Imperialist views.

Number one, that’s false.

Number two, being killed for being based is an American rite of passage. Look at Lincoln or Kennedy. You just have to denigrate exceptional black americans because you’re a virulent racist.

hes ignorant like about everything. KKK posters and literature regularly denounced Communists. all he has left is to make bizarre accusations and hope something sticks. its sad really.
