Do you give up on river?

Do you give up on river?

And should I maybe shove turn already?

Don't shove turn AP is fine, T of h/d blocking JT suited would be even better but hand is wp imo

No real critique, agree with ildrugo, but I've heard in materials I've reviewed that paired boards are dangerous and betting should slow when the board pairs. Without considering the FH, I think BTN has a not negligble number of suited Jx.

Genuine questions:

  • What is the turn bet achieving? What's villain's range (presumably only value left) that calls flop and folds turn?
  • If we have to bet turn, would a smaller sizing do the same thing? i.e. all mid pairs and maybe QcX calls, top of the range shoves
  • Same questions on the river - what is villain's folding range here? I can't see villain arriving w/ any less than TPTK. And even w/ the bottom of that range, it feels like a marginal call for villain

Cbet the flop and triple barrel non all in.

@LordPoshington: Interesting questions to whom I don't have the answer. I heard in a Youtube video that small bets after (large) check-raises are not a thing, especially on nutty boards. Therefore I would have a big bet or check stratety in most of these spots. But could be wrong? But the same question applies to the small bet, what are we folding out that called the check-raise on the flop? One advantage I totally agree with is that then the SPR on river is better. On river I was really counting on him folding out TPTK. People used fold a lot against triple barrel at my stakes (until recently, unfortunately they found out I bluff...)

@Andy: could you perhaps explain why that node is better?

Preflop never opening ATo in utg unless there are huge fishes in game.

Flop is easy cbet
check/raise seems a bit crazy, but it does have fold equity if Btn stabs wide.

Once btn calls this huge check/raise, his range is alot 33/flushes/kj. If he's fishy, he can also have random draws like Qc or pair plus club.
He's still never folding to a turn bet, easy check on turn.

River, villain range didn't change all of a sudden, flushes/boats are not folding.

You're never getting folds after villain call flop.
