Accidentally deposited USDC to an ETH address on Ignition
Hey all old school 2+2 poster, dont remember my old login info so first post on this one... anyways not sure where to put this but here goes...
So I was a newb and accidentally deposited USDC into an ETH address 2.5 years ago onto Ignition/Bovada. I still have the transaction ID and hash etc
When it happened 2 years ago they told me the funds were "lost" and "unrecoverable" and I basically gave up and tried to forget that it happened for my own peace of mind. Recently however I did more research and found that the funds should be recoverable if the company would just go through the work to try to make it happen.
So I went to live support and found someone, sent them the transaction ID and all of the details and he told me the "funds were released" and ended the chat. I was thrilled. However I came to find out all they did was release a "bonus" that was about 5 percent of the total initial deposit. So I went through a 2nd chat and back and forth explaining that the funds should be recoverable and they kept saying it was lost and the wrong network. I said it's not the wrong network but finally they just said the case is closed and ended the chat.
So is there anything I can do from here? I mean the money should be recoverable, its just about making them do the work or honor the deposit
As an aside... do you think its more likely the funds are still sitting in some unused account? Or did the site immediately comingle and redistribute them?

There's a thread about ETH; maybe try asking your question there.
