Is a cbet bet standard here?
If I bet and get called do I just check it down if I don't hit an Ace?

3bet is usually 4-5 oop.
Most people do a 33% flop, 75% turn startegy on this type of board
Just wondering guys why are we supposed to bet 33% on the flop and not 66%?
Dry K high board favor very strongly the 3bettor, meaning you can bet your whole range. When that is the case, smaller size are usually in order to justify also betting the weak part of your value range (77-QQ), which prefer a smaller pot.
There are 3 possible strategy on the flop:
- Bet everything 33%: Theorically sounds and easy to execute
- Mix bet and check with a larger flop size: Also theorically sound, but harder to execute
- Mix your bet sizing based on your hand and opponent (ex: 50% with strong Kx and anything bellow AJ, 33% with everything else): Exploitative strategy, can pay off but need to have good idea of how field reacts, which can change a lot profile to profile and limit to limit.
At 10nl:
33% flop usually removes everything that misses and most Ax
66-75% turn usually removes everything bellow a K
Beating that strategy needs either foresight in how you construct your range flop (which 10nl players dont usually have), to be a station turn with pocket pairs but not flop with A highs, or preflop ranges that includes a lot of offsuit Kx without the other offuit broadways.
Too small pre.
