Well, Canada is totally pissed off and not coming to America and Europe has heard tales of tourists getting grabbed by ICE and locked up when they come for vacation so a lot are going else where plus I think they added an extra fee for a tourist visa just to make sure visitors stay annoyed, so they are probably missing that chunk of business.

I think the rest of America has finally become tired of getting nickeled and dimed to death by corporate Vegas.

Myself, I was like "come on, really?" when the coffee makers started disappearing out of the rooms. I'm already over paying for a room plus resort fee plus paying to park and I can't have a morning cup of coffee in my room? I have to get dressed and schlep down to the lobby to pay $10 for a cup of joe.

Now, I go someplace nice for less.

American tourism to Canada is way down too, it goes both ways. But Vegas has nickel and dimed every tourist to death and the suckers I mean tourists are finally sick of it. Vegas needs to change, well the casinos in particular, to survive. The gambling market is very saturated.

The new Trooper video where he moans about being down 140 bets on Phoenix Link is pretty eye opening. Seems to have no clue what the potential losses can be like on that game. Or how little EV those plays are actually worth (“I should have won $350 on this”😉. He also seems extremely stressed out about the prospect of losing $700.

Phoenix Link volatility plus Trooper level degen equals tunnels? Same with Pman too how excited he got when he had a big win.

Trooper is in for a rude awakening and like borg23 said above, because he's sunrunned hard, hitting majors and double majors and triple majors like it's the norm, when the inevitable bad run happens and the variance of taking plays early rears it's ugly head Trooper will attribute it to bad luck and not the -ev plays evening out.

But hey, LT working on perfecting bread making now so they'll have that to fall back on as their new small business.

These degens need to learn from Knish. Actual AP gamblers gamble to make money to pay expenses. They don't gamble for constant excitement. They grind out that rent money.

He's also even dumber than I thought for not using a card when he only has 10 percent of his action. He can be making out like a bandit with the free play he'd be getting at 10x the levels he can afford to play.

You honestly think that any of the other dealers are going to do a solid for Chubby Schubby and switch shifts with him? A person that has zero interpersonal skills...

The comment about living in constant excitement should be scary for him because he basically confirmed something that he wrote in a blog a long time ago. He mentioned having a really bad gambling addiction in the past and has mentioned it a little bit in a video or two I saw before.

Also it’s interesting to see his comment that poker was a good way to make money from 2004-2012. So not after 2012?

First part is wildly exaggerated. I will agree that there are some easily impressionable people here in Europe that probably think the chance of being denied is higher than before, but that is only because the media suddenly have decided it's interesting to report about these rare instances. In reality, nothing has changed in this regard, irrespective of political leadership.

As for the Visa fee, that is only for those travelling in with a Visa instead of a Visa Waiver (here in Europe I would guess at least 90% can use Visa Waiver). There will be an extra fee every time you need to get that Visa renewed, but that only comes around every 10 years or so. Pretty sure the relatively few people that this applies for can handle the extra cost.

(I am travelling on a Visa, and my latest extension was given for 10 years - I will obviously pay whatever it costs to get it renewed when that day comes around).

It obviously sucks for Las Vegas that the visitor numbers are down (especially if people are losing their job as a result), but the reasons probably lies elsewhere. Hopefully this will force down prices & fees for a while, although that's probably a discussion for another thread.

Poker only worked for him between 2004-2012 because everyone was so terrible then that his limited knowledge was enough to beat the games. After that, people have gotten marginally better (even in Vegas), and his outdated playing style have no chance at keeping up and sustain a decent win rate.

It's sad really, because he doesn't realize how easy it is to win money at the lower stakes in Las Vegas. If only he had some humility and realized he needed to learn some basic strategies, then he could be turned into a winning player within 2-3 months. But that obviously requires being honest with yourself and acknowledge that you are a bit lost in some spots. Which I am pretty sure he would not admit to himself - and certainly never to his viewers.

I think you are giving Trooper too much credit for being able to take on board and apply poker coaching. I think it could be a case of you can't teach an old dog new tricks with him

ELD reports his tooth ache caused him to lose extra hours and that to maximize dividend fund, ELD has been trying to work as many shifts as possible this season including once with four back to back shifts.

He has so much delusion that he is blind to the fact that he's literally wasted his opportunities and has nothing to show for any of it. It's like the louder he bangs on about how great he is and how well he is doing, the more you know the opposite is true. Ive never seen anyone so loud and confident about being at the bottom.

For him to not have at least 100k in savings to show for all his life's "work" really says it all. But if he doesn't even have a 10k roll then its just depressing, or at least it should be for any sane person.

Yet somehow every time he fails he manages to spin a new narrative about how tough and great he is, how he came to Vegas with nothing blah blah blah. Yeah he came with nothing and still has nothing 12 years later. For someone who has accomplished nothing it's hilarious how he can't stop sharing it with the rest of the world so everyone can see what he's doing lol.

not to be nice to him. but bc they want extra money or happen to want those days. Sure if you like someone you might swap with them once in a while purely as a favor. But you don't need to like someone to work extra if you want the extra money.
