Life is good, mostly. How’s things with the fam? (I’ll catch up on things itt but that’ll take time obv)
I’ve never made, but have been served Wellington before, definitely one of those things I’d need to be promised 3 holes before taking on the work

can't remember when we last spoke but... separated from the wife at the beginning of last year, spent all of 24 renovating/selling the house, working through the separation and $$ and getting the kids all sorted.
2024 was really **** but 2025 has been ossum. Am lobing the freedom and being able to surround myself with positivity. Have been with a new woman for 6 months now and she's great - very fit and slightly (5 years) younger Brazilian girl who lives very close and is into the same stuff I'm into. Seems sane, her kids have already left home and it's going very well.
how about you? Still with the Mrs?
Congrats on finding someone willing to peg you for free! I do recall the separation etc. Hopefully the ex is getting the help she needs. Anyway, glad to hear the year is treating you well. I’m not with the ginger bird any more, actually the last time I saw her was saying goodbye at the airport after you all met her. Been an interesting time, trying to work that out. But ah well, such is life.

my Mrs prefers to fist. Makes it more personal
wow, that surprises me re you and her...you seemed pretty well connected.
You and me both, brother
A poker dealer who was soon leaving her job to do something more self-fulfilling and productive once told me: "Look around the poker room, half of the players have their net worth on the table."

That's gold hahahhahaha
Good to see you, BMF!
Casinos are definitely miserable places when you really take a step book and examine them. And they are filled with degenerates.

.
That's what I thought. Turns out net worth means you have to subtract the liabilities.
Thanks, G! I’m just catching up on the last couple of years because I’m bored. How’s the wife and everything?
Good. She had some scary health issues a couple of years ago that eventually led to a major surgery, but she's made a slow but full recovery. She plans to start competing in Irish Dance again next month.
I finally got my book through the long and winding publication process. It comes out December 1st, making it a great Christmas present for any history nerds on your list.
Congrats on both fronts! You’re clearly both very tough SOB’s and we’re glad to have you finding success in all aspects
But does it include primary residence equity or not?
Hulk Hogan to rip off his shroud as corpsemania runs wild over you.
love this one
In the early 90's I would drive around in my '81 Plymouth Colt listening to the "alternative" radio station, which was actually on AM at the time. With my car / radio / antenna all being pieces of ****, the station would fade in and out when I got near tall buildings / went under overpasses / etc. This song came on out of the blue one day, and inbetween it fading in and out, I thought, WTF, are these guys just kinda singing the chorus over and over again, that is so... AWESUM!
19 years after it's release I walked down the aisle of our wedding to this tune. Out of respect for the elders in attendance, I did not tag on the "Satan" outro.
My musical tastes have changed over the years, with power pop being slowly taken over by downbeat sad AF folky music, and their previous couple of releases only have a couple songs each that I can really get into. Still, in spite of a core member of their triple singer/songwriter threat leaving the band, I'm happy I live in world where they are still releasing music.

What music are they still releasing without Jeff?
Who's Jeff?
Gerard Love was 1/3rd of their singer/songwriters but left the band in the late 2010's (I think hating touring/flying). He had a solo thing called Lightships (ETA: Check out "Sunlight to the Dawn" and "Do Your Thing" cuz I can't seem to link them).
ETA: WTF is up with the YouTube embedding now? Can't seem to simply link to the video name, and when I use the whole html thingy I get like previous videos (I'm actually assuming Mark is seeing a completely different video other than Teenage Fanclub - What You Do To Me?). ETA#2: I also noticed this in the music thread, where quoted videos weren't the original, and I could even see different videos depending on what device I was on, lol.

Haha, yeah, the video I'm seeing is Confidence Man by Jeff Healy, which is a really weird song for you to walk the aisle with ya ****in' weirdo, lol.
I also thought it was interesting for you to describe Death as "left the band", although it does fit, I guess.
Lol! I'm wondering what video RR saw? ETA: I heard Hulk Hogan recently left the wrestling?
But it's not just me right, the YouTube tags are ****ed? IIRC, you could just put the "v=videoname" info inbetween the tags (could never remember if the "v=" part was needed) but now it seems you need the whole html and all it does is **** up.

I've seen over 100 concerts live and MB20 and Rob Thomas are top 3 live. They're incredible.
