I stood on the rail of the $100K Event and saw a number of killers.

I ran hot for 7 days and have since cooled off a little bit. I have 5 days left on my trip.

The Wynn Las Vegas has the nicest poker room in America -- at least. It's one of the regular spots I grind at.

Venetian games become fun at night, with weak players and deep pockets. Usually most of the table drinks alcohol, and plays double board bomb pots.

Golden Nugget uncapped $1/2 is a gold mine. I bet $150 all-in on K54r and got called by ATo. I had AQ.

Goodbye LAS VEGAS

I won at all 8 Poker Rooms I visited

I'm back to being a semi-pro Poker Player.

Vegas reinvigorated me.

Sucks I got banned/tresspassed at MGM Properties. There are options for me now, but if I am ever playing high stakes, not having The Bellagio and Aria could be painful.

I don't think I'm going to appeal the ban; it was just. I would have banned myself too.

So instead of rage against the machine, you concede that the machine has a valid point.

I have to ask: what happened?

I don't know exactly.

I suspect it goes back to 2021 when I dropped by MGM Detroit on my way to psychosis. I ended up getting tackled by police after screaming in their faces.

But I had been gambling fine and dandy since then. Until a couple weeks ago at 3AM, Bellagio Time. I was in a bathroom when security came in and ID'd me, declared me tresspassing, and then escorted me out after allowing me to pick up my poker chips.

So that's that. The closest casino poker game is now in Toledo, Ohio.

I'm going to adopt a backstory.

I now have 3 kids, and a mansion.

American Idiot really rips

I suspect DK Bananza will be a very good game but a system seller I'm not sure.

For some reason it still lists me having MEDICAID, even tho I couldn't provide a request of my work history (check stubs), and Trump gutting the whole thing.

Feels good to run good.

A while ago I felt silly confident that I was a better driver of cars than the robots were currently.

.... I don't know how long it will be until I'm comfortable riding in a car lacking a steering wheel. While the tech may be ready soon, I don't see being forced to use it happening anytime soon thankfully.

My driving is at least 2700 ELO. I tend to take a thoughtful approach to the chaos of it all.

My Tesla had some sort of glitch in the mapping software yesterday. While coming home, the GPS started locking onto random nearby destinations, and when I fingered the map it basically launched into outer space. Did some sort of reset of the software, and it worked splendidly last night when I went to charge.

Hopefully it's nothing.

For now.

I might be okay going forward. Might not. I'm working part time now on the books. And did not actively under report earnings.

Mostly in my poker journey I played for scraps and won about the same.

One year in the past 10 I earned a little over the $5K threshold to report. But nowhere near the poverty ceiling.

Some people near me think I have a clear-as-day disability claim. I get fatigued for elongated periods of time after small amounts of stress, and hard work. I've also been diagnosed with a variety of psych disorders. I dunno tho, filling out forms isn't a specialty of mine. Probably dumb of me to not pursue hand-outs to the fullest extent....

My monthly injection costs about $4K out of pocket, and has no generic.

If/when I lose medicaid, I'd have to switch to pill-form medicine, which I have a history of non-compliance with. It's hard for me to take'em every day, due to dumbassery, and I worry how I'll manage my mental health stuff.

All things considered, including an actual judge ruling me a "danger to myself and society," it's probably best for everyone if I keep getting free health care.

I've been pretty stable for 4 years, but have a long history of getting hospitalized/spending time in facilities.

Hoping the Gods receive this prayer, and allow me, and everyone else afflicted by hardship, to retain what government services we have access to. I'm sure a lot of people are on their last resort -- it would hurt me but I'd find a way to survive without -- and that's pretty terrible to wonder about.

I like my doctor, the staff, and my medicine regimen. My life is pretty atypical, but it's comfortable enough, and I'm both hopeful and at peace.

almost 100% of my expenses are food or utilities. i don't do much for fun, and aim to have a good time in my mind usually.

let's go after the most flagrant offenders of fraud and deception, who are living super well off gov't aid, etc. first.

Sigh. I've said way too much.

Here's a kind of scenario I wonder about...

You're in the middle lane of a 3-lane highway. The S.L. is 70mph. There is daylight, and the road is pristine.

In the right lane there are 4 semi-trucks all going 1mph below, with no cars in front of them. Traffic is normal in front of you in the middle lane. The left lane is 5mph over the S.L., and an opening has just appeared.

The questions are:

1. What's optimal for your car to do?
2. What does Autonomous driving do?

The answer to 1 is to position your car in the right lane in front of the Semitrucks. which is the apparent safest spot on the road.

Does FSD know this?

And if it does, does it know that switching to the left lane is a little better than waiting it out at the mercy of the trucks in the middle lane?

I barely trust myself enough to drive, but I feel like I could be persuaded by a pleasant female-sounding robot voice telling me it's all gonna be ok.

I'm trying to decide if I will buy a Switch 2 secondhand, likely on EBAY.

Reasons to buy:

I'm going to buy one eventually
The retail price is not going to go down
DK looks insanely good

Reasons to wait:

Ebay price may go down
Ebay is charging $150 markup for the system
I have no interest in Kario Kart
There are no other exclusive games right now

DK Bananza is largely thought to be an amazing videogame. I've seen, perhaps regretfully, a lot of footage so far and I think the game is reason enough to buy a Switch 2.

I get to take a little break from "the plant" again.

I'm flying on vacation in early August to a non-legal state.

I've gotta get the nasty insomnia out of the way now so I can enjoy my trip.

I venture into the Politics subforum every now and then. It makes me feel better about my plot in life, lol.

In his MLB debut, Misiorowski earned a win after throwing five innings of no-hit baseball. His start featured the fastest pitch thrown by a Brewers pitcher in the Statcast era, topping out at 102.3 miles per hour (164.6 km/h).[14][17] In his second start, against the Minnesota Twins, Misiorowski threw six perfect innings, becoming the first MLB player to record 11 no-hit innings to start his career since 1961.[18] In his third start, against Paul Skenes and the Pittsburgh Pirates, he became the first MLB pitcher since 1901 to allow five hits or fewer across his first three career starts.[19] Misiorowski's fifth start came against Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers—the National League leader in wins at the time, bolstered by what Milwaukee's local newspaper said was the best lineup in baseball that year.[20] Misiorowski struck out twelve batters in six frames, including a near-immaculate inning, and induced a league-leading twenty-one swings-and-misses.

The Miz.

Day 1 (Again, and again...)

Not going so well. Had somewhat of a struggle to make it through the night. Decent amount of anxiety.

No sleep. Of course.

I realized I have 4 ativan doses left from last time, which will last me through the trip.

And so I've decided to smoke weed today, get a bunch of sleep, and try again tomorrow.

I feel committed to, in the very least, brush aside smoking until the evening going forward. Which should help limit my intake, maybe making quitting a little easier.

The word "intelligentless" is not a standard English word. The intended meaning is likely "unintelligent," which refers to lacking intelligence or being stupid. Other related terms include "dense," "dim-witted," or "dull".

Slept 15 hours yesterday after being up all night the day before.

Trying another quit tomorrow.
