Pokerstars Account Restricted for over 6 months!!

Hello everyone . I have a big problem with Pokerstars. I am a customer of pokerstars for over 10 years , played mostly poker for hundreads of thousands of hands for few years on and off. I quit poker in the last 2-3 years and since then i have placed only few bets recreationaly with them now and then. Small bets , usually not bigger than 50euros/single. One day (november 2024) i had my account restricted. I didnt get any email , after contacting them i got a reply that they were having an investigation over my betting history , they did not mention any more details about any certain events. Since that day i cant use my account or withdraw my money from the site. I have not received any update from them the same generic email whenever i ask for an update.
I contacted their support on X after many months and they told me they wrote to the complaints team and i should receive an answer from them. A week later i get no reply and when i send an email for updates i get the same generic email that they sent me many times. Its been over 6 months now and i cant find any good reason on why should it take this long.

So almost 20 days later i get an email from their anti-fraud team for documents to re-verify my account plus screenshots from my ewallets that showed my deposits and that my ewallets were fully verified. I sent them the documents and then nothing, no response . I just contacted the X (twitter) support and told them i am not getting any reply and 12 days is a bit too much to verify the documents and got the reply that my documents have been verified but my account is still under investigation. I dont understand what they are even trying to do at this point , this is over 6 months of account restricted pending an "investigation".



15 days later and nothing really happened , they asked for documents , they were accepted and somehow i get the same generic email

They might think someone else is using your account, just because your activity changed from poker to sports betting after a long break. They have no proof of anything wrong, they’re holding your account and funds hostage without any clear reason.

Regulatory Body: If it’s been an unreasonable delay , consider filing a complaint with the relevant gambling authority (like the Malta Gaming Authority or UKGC depending on your location and their license).

Thank you for your reply , bets are definitely recreational , most likely i lost money there long term. At this point i think they just want to keep the money locked as long as they can and hope i will give up looking for my money , 7 months without a result on their investigation is just abuse on their customer at this point , there is no way they really care about me as a customer at this point.

I sent a final email before escalating this further and finally had some genuine reply .
Again zero mentions of any investigation, if i did anything wrong or if i will ever be able to play/bet there again .
I replied with my prefered payment method and now im waiting. Lets see how it goes.



Time for an update
After a week and zero signs of money or a formal reply i contacted them again.



I have sent these documents a month ago and they have acknoledged that they received them and somehow like 3 weeks ago they asked me for the neteller screenshot , sent that too for a second time and they never replied.
Contacted support on X to confirm they received the documents this time and this is their reply :



The X support is always fast and looks helpful but i dont know who to blame at this point. I genuinely think they are trying to drag this out as long as they can at this point because nothing makes sense. They have never mention anything related to the investigation or what will happen with my account.

Here is my communication with them on may 23th , They confirm my documents have been accepted and the only issue is with neteller and now i need to send documents again lol



After asking them in the email if they have received my documents they have replied :
The most important thing is : “We may close your Account at any time for any reason in our discretion (which we don’t have to tell you) by giving you reasonable notice.
I dont understand what a reasonable notice is at this point or if it means anything after having the account "frozen" for 8 months.
Again 0 mentions of any investigation that took them 8 months , and also no mention about paying my remaining balance.


I contacted support about when will i be able to withdraw my balance and as "expected" they asked for the same documents that i have sent many times and that they have acknowledged that they received before. This time the support sent me an email and i replied there and he told me he is forwarding them on the team that should take care about them.
What can i say , its been a disgrace so far.


Almost 3 weeks later and still no reply , looks like they "cant" verify a neteller document and send me my money back.
