Guess what exactly? Looking at me you might guess I was of “British” or German genes, or maybe American Australian or kiwi but in fact I have French and some Scandinavian genes too, and probably a lot of other stuff.

You’re never going to be able to reliably tell someone from north America from Australians or Western Europeans if you don’t take their clothing and accents etc into account.

Clinal variation is just where you have gradual differences in a species determined by environment-- usually by differences in latitude or elevation. It's seen in birds regularly.
Biologists don't have a strict definition of what qualifies as a species and the ability to produce fertile offspring is just one of several competing definitions.
