no one said he needed to skip the event (bc clearly we're way past doing the right thing for anyone else ever that you're not married to). if only there was a simple and unobtrusive way to minimize risk of infection that could be used...

didn't watch so don't know the context but it's super common for one spouse to think it's a nothingburger but take specifically cautious steps with their wife who is a hypocondriac

i have a good friend who when he's mildly sick still goes to work, coaches little league, eats dinner with the family, etc but then come bed time has to sleep downstairs on the couch because his wife is worried about getting sick

FWIW a few weeks ago I saw who I’m pretty sure was Ike getting off the monorail at Sahara station wearing the mask.

noone has to mask up if they are sick but it is a considerate thing to do especially if you are going to be around alot of people. Let alone sitting at the same table for hours trading chips and cards around plus the percent of older folks more likely to be there vs any other random place.

It got someone shaking their fist in outrage. There’s ten thousand people at tables, roaming the halls, and trading items back and forth all day. People know what they are getting into and we are talking about a head cold.

Last time I went to the WSOP was in 2023. I had an 8-day trip planned and multiple events on my schedule. 3 days in I came down with Covid and was stuck in my hotel room.

Pro Tip: Get sick BEFORE your trip so you're immune while you're there.
