This is so bad it seems like parody

The lady is right though her 7 is live

That 7 was in the muck. How pocket 10s didn't flip the table is beyond me.

For all the exciting moments so far this series, the exposure of maybe the majority of poker "pros" being scum doesn't bode well for the future of the game.

If the 7 is in the muck then the whole flop is in the muck, the 7 is the first card dealt after the dealer rightly (for the only time this clip) burns a card before the flop

Eh, I watched it a few more times and ya I'm probably wrong and he dragged some cards under

The 7 came from the muck.

Watch as he burns and then deals the cards for flop face down, it's clearly 3 cards. When he puts the flop into the muck it was put on top of a card already in there and when he pulls it back out he has 4 cards with the card that was underneath "the flop" missing from it and becoming the window card 7. Just look at the shape of the muck before and after pulls the flop from it, you can see exactly which card was the 7.

Whoever had folded the 7 really should have spoken up and said that they had folded it, not doing so is incredibly poor ethics.

I guess a decent question is what should have happened- despite the fact that the fourth flop card came from the muck and not the stub, seems like only recourse would have been to take the 4 cards now including the 7, scramble, and floor selects one at random to be the burn as per rule 89. The floor was standing right there and I can’t believe didn’t get involved. If I’m 10s guy I immediately stop that dealer and yell floor at the top of my lungs.

The woman who busted in 3rd did one of the worst punts I've ever seen. Majorly -ChipEV but considering how short the other woman was at the time was a massive ICM disaster. Something that would seem bad in 2004 let alone 2025. Happens about 30 min into the highlights.

Raising T9 to a psb on JT97 3-flush would be bad even without ICM.

I think this sort of thing is worse than the heads up at the millionaire maker and I doubt anything will get done.

There was a floor right there the whole time, and even if you think the 4 cards were from the deck it was still ruled incorrectly.

But one of the cards (likely the 7) was from the muck. And then the dealer gets browbeat into doing whatever.

Don't think wsop can claim integrity without punishing the floor harshly.

He wouldn’t have gone broke if he did. I guess he raised think a queen high flush puts him on a lone ace blocker bluff based on how passively he’d played the hand and snapcalls?

Now why didn’t he bet the flop or raise on the turn?

So what. You leave so much money on the table in the long run playing this scared and become extremely easy to play against.

I wasn't disagreeing on other parts of the hand but to say he should flat the river is silly.

Why are there a bunch of blank posts on this page of the thread? Seems like some controversy I can’t parse because I only see the replies.

Not sure why you can't see the posts... Might be an ********* or something on your end? They seem to be displaying fine for me.

Someone posted a video of pocket 7s vs tens all in pre. Noob dealer dealt flop face down, then before flipping up the cards dragged them into the muck pile. Table said, "wait, wait, wait."

Dealer then attempts to retrieve the flop from the muck, and proceeds to flip them up. Seven in the window but when cards are spread there are four cards (clearly one came from the muck pile, probably the 7). Dealer attempts to put seven face down in the muck.

The player recording who has pocket 7s says, " no, no, no."

Dealer proceeds to flip the 7 back up and flip an irrelevant jack down, and deal out the turn and river.

Pot is awarded to the player with pocket 7s. Player with pocket tens inexplicably just watches it all happen without saying a word.

Not sure why @dblocker is being censored. Hahaha.

Also there's some other discussion of a punt someone made and other stuff.

I watched the video of the incompetent dealer dragging the flop into the muck and back out again. And I cannot say for sure whether the 7 was part of the original flop or came from the muck. The small pile of cards is literally hidden underneath the dealer's hand and the flop cards. It's virtually impossible to tell. Without more information, I'd say it is inconclusive at best. But I only watched it a couple of times.

I was being a bit pedantic but there is no long run in tournaments with prize pools this large.

Correct and there’s also ICM math

Have to look at value of stack if getting that small raise called versus stack when just calling. Especially if plan is to auto all a jam when in the current reality it almost certainly means you are beat.

People keep on saying regarding calling the jam “he’s getting 5 to 1 and can be exploited!”. The first part of that statement is not true as he’s not effectively getting 5 to 1 due to ICM value of stacks. I’d also say he’s not being exploited, but again I’m not criticizing Lindgren on this hand.

They’re embedded tweets

Hellmuth 5th of 15 in the 10K Stud 8. 906K avg 744K, next level in 20min 7 ante 10bi 30-60.

His first ever WSOP cash was in Stud 8 and he’s had at least one other deep run in it.

It was a massive cooler but Lindgren also played the hand very poorly.
