President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
if the 10k/month are within reach yes why not? but they literally aren't in many professions/career paths. and not everyone is talented for career paths that pay well.so the person who could be quite happy working for an ONG at 45k/year should start saving yesterday on everything, I think you kinda agree.now if they make 120k/year at 26 3 years out of college then ye they can p
Right, then the USA was a safehaven for the worlds investments for the next 50 years and now a house is 5x the relative price it was 50 years ago, a vacation home is 10x, there are no pensions, etc etc

no I am thinking many other countries as well to be fair.
but anyway the idea would have been the same for people graduating in say 2004, in the USA.
asset values have been compounding a lot even somewhat recently.
you just said 10k matched by the company over 5 years become 250k. which yes can happen if the sp500 goes from 3k to 6k like from COVID to today.
but can it go to 10-12k from today values by 2030? I mean why not, but every time it's harder in some sense...
sp500 growing more than nominal GDP in some sense defies gravity, how long can that last?
but even at down-to-earth compounding rates of 6-7% (NGDP growth over the long term), it's still very smart to invest ASAP. you have to be obsessed and hyper aggressive with your first dollars, exactly when your emotional maturity and wisdom isn't developed in full yet.
people who anticipate other in that build up an absurd advantage. and to be clear , I really deeply hate the idea of taxing them more down the line in order to fix the failures of those who didn't go hyper obsessive with capital accumulation at the first opportunity they had.
Wow, this guy sucks.
what survivorship bias does to a mf
I always thought the appeal of a giant corporation like McDonald's was that you'd get the same experience no matter where you go, but friends of ours were in Paris recently and for one the meals they had between an otherwise busy schedule, they just stopped in for a quick burger and fries at McDonald's. They said it was a major disappointment and borderline inedible.I forget e
Europe in general has crap food especially the UK.

shake shack is indeed a lot better than most alternatives but ... 9-13 is the price of the burger alone these days.
welcome to Bidenflation
Strange I didn’t know bidenflation existed in Canada .
Was sure was because of trudeau !
Kept hearing this from the right for 4 years ….
Guess they were wrong .
Laptop laptop laptop
I think it's pretty likely you were overcharged and you didn't notice. Also, how do you let this happen? If I ordered two burgers and a milkshake and they said 26$ I'd laugh in their face.
Nope
2 quarter pound with cheese was like 8$ each (2) and 1 big milkshake (close to 6$ (1) + taxe
Yes it’s in Canadian , so around 18-19 USD.
Like I said was first time in 2 decade I went and I guess another 2 before they see me again shrug .
Much better restaurant I can find for less .

We should turn this into a Deals thread. Got a yearly Perplexity PRO membership, no card or resubscription risk, for $17 for the year. The peasant rate is $20/month.
I'm actually not even sure PRO is worth anything, but Perplexity is great so $17 was a no-brainer.
Isn't this not allowed or is because Trump is King. I call him the Supreme Leader. Whatever you want to call him.
For the president the only people that can actually hold him accountable are congress and senate. So even if it’s not allowed there’s nothing that can be done with a Republican control over both houses.
His administration can be tempered by the Supreme Court if they perform illegal actions but other than that nothing much people can do.
The patties are 0.1 lbs pre-cooked. Less than half of the patties on a quarter pounder or double quarter pounder.
Looked it up. Chit's 440 calories. That's like saying a slice of pizza off a 16" pie is basically bite-sized. MLYLT type chit. And who gets one and done? It's like 2 or 3 of them and/or with fries and a shake.
nationwide injunctions are dead so he can basically just issue illegal EOs and it's a big **** YOU until the case works it's way all the way through the courts...
until the next dem potus at least. then it will magically become a bad idea.
lol, **** all you magats

I have no idea what this series of characters is supposed to be saying. If you are still trying to argue that Mcdonalds DCBs aren't bite-size, I agree with you. It was an exaggeration to point out how much vastly smaller than a double quarter pounder they are. I hope that helped?

I understood the hyperbole just fine. It would be a good use of it if a double quarter pounder was like 1500 calories. How many double cheeseburgers do you typically order for dinner?
I went there yesterday after like 20 years of absence , 2 burger and a milkshake.
26$ !
I was like WTF ….
I can buy 3 whole chicken at Costco for the same price !!
Damn sure I won’t got there for the next 20 years again …
I can have an amazing healthy and much higher quality slushy meal for the same price .
Here in California, you bill would have been less than $20.
You can get a Big Mac Combo for $8+tax with the McDonald's app.
