Boston +550

Umm, are we not paying attention to what is happening with the Celtics at all?

The Celtics are obviously taking a significant step back next season.

However, Porzingis missed half of last season and Holiday was his least productive in more than a decade. The Celtics aren't losing prime-Porzingis and prime-Holiday.

I think the odds have to take into account the possibility of Tatum returning in March/April and playing reasonably well in the playoffs. A healthy-but-rusty Tatum with Jaylen Brown, Derek White, and a reasonable supporting cast should be able to win a first round series and be competitive in the second round.

Legitimately think Detroit might be the #4 team in the East next season.

Taking the Sixers seems like amazing value ...

JBrown to the Jazz gaining steam ...

I would say the odds are higher that none of those three will be playing for the Celtics by the time we get to the playoffs next season than the odds that all three will be.

I think that rosters moving forward are gonna go back to being centered around 1, maybe 2 superstars if you’re really lucky, young guys, and affordable role players. No more superteams, team fit, value contracts, and maximizing assets will be what wins.

you guys are forgetting about payton pritchard!

The interesting thing is going to be what this does to 2nd tier guys with regards to their contracts. Teams are rightly deathly afraid of that 2nd apron, so the days of paying your really solid 3&D guy great money are long gone. There's probably going to be a shock where guys leave teams because they feel they're being lowballed on offers only to find the market isn't there any more.

I think the NBA middle class is dead. Looking ahead, I think you’re gonna see basically max guys and the next highest contracts being around 10M per year.

How will they be able to survive on 10M???

After taxes, agent, lawyer that leaves not much more than 5M.

JBrown to the Jazz gaining steam ...

This is just media speculation. The Jazz may want Brown and made the best offer they can. But, I would be stunned if Brown was traded unless it was a deal that everybody thinks was a steal for the Celtics.

I don't think any of Brad Stevens' trades have been leaked in advance. He keeps things quiet until a deal is done. We knew Holiday would be dealt but nobody was talking about him being shipped back to Portland. The same is true for all his other big deals (acquiring Porzingis).

The Celtics are Tatum, Brown, and the best players that the team can sign to surround them with. I expect that to continue for 5-10 years.

Brown makes too much. I’d move him for a washing machine and dryer set.

Maytag or Whirlpool?

Maytag or Whirlpool?

Hmmm tough choice.

Ace Bailey is a punk ass bitch and I hope he drops out of the lottery.

Holy ****, I didn't see that pick coming.

Hmmm tough choice.

The illusion of choice.

It's time to botch another pick. Let's go!!!

First three were predictable. Now it opens up a bit. Who's going to eat this Bailey grenade?

I miss dean. Is this third pick oozing with sharpness or spew?

RIP

Edgecombe was the surest thing on the board with good upside.

Hornets miss out by 1 pick again.

I will forever be amazed by two top 5 picks on a team that couldn’t even make the NCAA tournament.

Seems good to me.

I'm only watching until Spurs draft at #14

I also love the pick by Brooklyn at #8. I'm very high on Demin --- he'll learn how to shoot. Dude is ****ing 6'9 and can run the point like WOAH

Ace Bailey gotta be really happy to be in Utah cuz he'll get all the shots he wants --- i've heard Jazz are moving Lauri this summer.
