I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

What happened in 2020?

I guess technically its 2021, but Jan 6

by thethethe

I've no doubt it was massively influenced by the fact his birthday parade was a wash-out, and not the scary display of power he wanted, so didn't take much persuading by Bibi and nutjobs in the government to convince him that throwing massive bombs around would make him look like the big strongman he wants to portray.

Oh ya the earlier stuff was coordinated for sure. But I'm talking about the post-ceasefire bombs by israel/trump coming out throwing around the f word etc. He wants to try to look like he's being tough on israel with the side of maga who are against all of this and trash talking trump.

Imagine the conservatives if Obama had used the f-word about anything. They'd be turning pearls into diamonds with their bare hands lol Meanwhile they're cheering on trump's "degeneracy" and begging for more 😀

Well this stupid ass meme aged as well as the rest of your stupid ass posts

Whoever linked that intelligence report is going to get sent to El Salvador lol

Side note: imagine being such a ****ing rube that:

1. You believe anything that comes from the mouth of this administration and
2. You believe anything this administration can do can be done competently

All this nonsense to set them back A COUPLE MONTHS?! Operation Midnight Toy Hammer?

by coordi

My political posting was similar to housenuts until 2020

I moved away from the MAGA stuff about that time as well. It started to go downhill with how stupid they were regarding the pandemic. Jan 6th was pretty disgusting.

Why did you decide to go full on Lib?

US intel was already saying they didn’t have evidence of those being nuclear sites. Wonder what intel if any Israel was operating on or if this was all just pretextual to pull US into the war.

The point of the US is that nobody "looks" foreign because we are a melting pot of success

Thats been the paradigm my entire life

Am I taking crazy pills that we are suddenly a white nation? Are we letting Lucio rewrite history?

i don't think it has anything to do with racism

you never hear anyone talking about sending the blacks back to africa now

even the most avowed racists will admit that a black american is just as american as a white one and even to the point where their own subculture is perhaps the most imitated globally with few exceptions

Spoiler
Show

this is actually a swedish band

when people talk about jazz, it's the american music, yes it's also black music but it's american first

and importantly, when people vote with their wallets, in terms of supporting streamers, black streamers do disproportionately well - the most successful streamer is a black american - you'll see i also touch base on this in the thread i started about blacks being disproportionately represented in tv advertising, an area where companies absolutely would not be specifically using black actors and spokespeople if they thought it hurt their bottom line

ie jake from state farm, the real jake, is an overweight white man and when they decided to make him a thing and hire an actor, they went with a good looking black man

what's changed is that people are sick and tired of is constantly bumping into people who fundamentally do not understand english

and this is not a pushback against a multicultural society - as you'll see that really hasn't been the case at all as the percentage of americans who speak very little english who are native born is pretty static - however the amount of non native born people in america that can barely speak english has more than doubled

and mind you, this is based on census data which is going to miss a lot of the illegals because they are obviously going to avoid census folks who knock on the door, even more so, those who don't speak english are going to be far less likely to answer the door or respond to a phone call that starts in english

this is it in a nutshell and also why most of the anti-immigration stuff manifests not as anti chinese or indian as they tend to come over via school or work and thus speak english but more so for the latinos who tend to come in illegally and work jobs where english is not required

the chinese and indians represent a melting pot, the latinos who don't know english can't possibly integrate and thus can't be part of the melting pot

npr recently did a bit on a local vietnamese illegal immigrant who committed murder and was going to be deported to vietnam at the end of his sentence

vietnam didn't want him so we just sent him to south sudan and npr had all this outrage over it

and i'm like have we lost our freakin minds here, dude comes over illegally, murders someone and now we're concerned about where he gets deported that it becomes newsworthy - more importantly, this utter pos is the anti-deportation cause celebre?

Why did you decide to go full on Lib?

I don't think I'm full on lib. I have a trans niece so the trans issue is near and dear to my heart and I spent the better part of a year arguing with people on here about that topic and not talking about much else. Thats one of those issues that is polarizing on an individual level to where even many of my Democrat friends are conflicted, but somehow I got lumped into the turbo-lib category. I tend to lump posters here into "strawman" categories as well so its understandable. Much easier to map everyones beliefs when you just pretend they all overlap in the least generous ways.

The only epiphany I had was around immigration. I grew up in OKC and had a group of Mexican friends, many of them illegal, and many of them involved in drugs and violence in one way or another. I had this image that many do now of the freeloading criminals. Once you dig into the statistics its pretty clear what a massive benefit immigration has been for our country. The one statistic that I love to pull out of my pocket is that children of illegal immigrants get college education at higher rates than white kids and earn higher average salaries than white kids. There is an old thread on here that singlehandedly drove my change in view as I engaged in conversations and "did my own research" which is largely my motivation to even talk politics here. In that thread I proposed that there could logically be a subset of "white pride" that fully acknowledges that being a minority generally is worse than being the majority which is largely the justification behind the white replacement conspiracy theory that people like Stephen Miller and Elon Musk find so concerning. Very few people ever frame it like that though, its always about how the colored folks are dangerous criminals and blah blah blah because that resonates more broadly.

These Project 2025 people are pretty evil and Trump has largely become a vessel for the authors of Project 2025 to reshape the US into an isolationist white nationalist christofascist dystopia and I am vehemently against that specifically. I guess that does effectively make me a full on lib

I don't personally care too much what happens to this guy, but from a legal and humanitarian perspective this is a legitimate nightmare.

One post up you talk about how Americans are sick of running into people who fundamentally don't understand English then hand wave a guy getting tossed from the frying pan into the fire

for the record, that doesn't bother me personally but it's where the gripe comes from

and yes, npr going "omg this poor murderer who was here illegally" is exactly why people call us libtards and vote for trump

Makes sense to me. I can't argue with someone who has personal experiences that make the issues clearer for them.

I think the point is if that they can do it to the murder guy they can do it to anyone

If Xs do not get due process, then government can simply call you X and do what they want.

This principle does not change with the severity of X.

Of course, this is easy to portray as sympathy with murderers. It is not. It is an established safeguard to make it difficult for government to be tyrannical.

by GTO2.0

no they can't. and I don't understand why you think they can.

they can only deport aliens, not citizens. and they can only deport in third countries if their original country doesn't want to take them.

and I don't understand why you think there is any problem with that happening

what is the legal and humanitarian nightmare of deporting alien criminals out of the country?

SCOTUS (the ultimate determinant of what is legal) says they can do it.

which due process was missed with the illegal vietnamese murderer?

If he got sent to South Sudan, what exactly happened to him? And why is it fair to South Sudan, did they get something out of it or was this against their consent.

Ironically Trump is now guilty of the crime he said Mexico was doing, emptying out their prisons and asylums (lol) to send us their criminals.

I looked it up and as suspected, South Sudan was not on board with the deportations. It was just a random country the Trump admin possibly chose for its lack of diplomatic importance.

The United States is being asked to explain why it appears to be deporting migrants from as far away as Vietnam and Cuba to South Sudan, a chaotic country that’s once again in danger of collapsing into civil war.

A U.S. judge ordered Trump administration officials to appear at an emergency hearing Wednesday to answer questions. The administration said it had expelled eight immigrants convicted of violent crimes in the U.S. but refused to say where they would end up.

If South Sudan is the confirmed destination, that means people from Vietnam, Mexico and elsewhere are being sent to a nation they have no link to, thousands of miles from where they want to be. Vietnam’s list of its embassies in Africa shows the closest one to South Sudan is in Tanzania, over 800 miles away.

South Sudan’s police spokesperson, Maj. Gen. James Monday Enoka, told The Associated Press that no migrants had arrived and if they did, they would be investigated and “redeported to their correct country” if not South Sudanese

Like imagine Trump just randomly deporting dangerous criminals to Italy, how angry Luciom would be (rightfully).

alien criminals

There we go, according to Lucy the Nazi doll, they are criminals by default. But I guess we'll have to wait until Lucy starts talking about black people and intelligence again before the next ban...

That guy was sentenced for murder (first degree) in 1999, by an american court.

His permanent residency had expired in 2009.

He is an alien criminal, and besides the fact it is morally horrific that he ever saw the outside of a prison after being convicted for murder, it's truly incredible that anyone would refuse the idea that he should be deported.

Or that anyone would claim that if he gets deported to a third country, because vietnam doesn't want his sorry ass back, then that's a violation of some rights, or that means they can send citizens to South Sudan.
