Call with no pair or redraw

6w in a bomb pot, there is less than 1 in 4 chance of another player flopping the straight. Hero is of course, an equity underdog with all other KQ, since he has no redraws.

Really not any other good option besides call, and hope SB is leading too wide. Half-pot sizing is a bit unusual imo.

SB

Everyone that I know that has put in any serious volume at bomb pots, and learned from trial and error, are now only betting the flop from late position. From early or middle position, they use check-raises instead of a leading strategy. So I'm going to put my own read on SB and say this lead was not the best way to go about things, but that SB has a good hand. SB has the absolute worse position for every postflop betting round. And SB bet into six players on the flop. I doubt SB is crazy. SB most likely has KQ (with out without a redraw) or a set+flushdraw. Players have their favorite bets sizes, OP would have to inform me if there is any read on SB's sizing.

Hero

As Hero, I just think to myself it is what it is and I call. No matter how many people are on the turn, if the turn card is a brick still giving me the nuts, then I'm committed if anyone bets the turn since the preflop effective starting stacks were 100bb. Going back to the flop for a moment, Hero and SB (or whoever) have the rest of the field dominated, but since Hero has no redraw, Hero is the freerollEE and the SB (or whoever) is the freerollER. But I'm staying in on the flop and staying in and committing myself on a safe turn card.

SB checking turn increases the likelihood SB flopped a set+flushdraw. If so, then that turn is ugly for them and it now flips things around and Hero is a favorite over the SB now.

I check. I'm the freerollEE with no redraw, but I'm not folding to a bet on the turn. Definitely a gross but safe card. Hero still has the nuts but that increases the draws by about the most possible to beat Hero or chop with Hero.

If Hero wants to make a blocking bet of 1/3 pot to 15bb and create an SPR of 1 on the river if called by one opponent on the turn, I'm cool with that.

Always calling flop, always checking turn.

Ok, we check, CO checks as well.

River 3
Sb checks again.
Hero???
We still have the nuts on the river. How much are we betting??

Reads? Target a player.

SB, given everything that has happened, do you feel like SB probably had a set+flushdraw? Can you get SB to call a tiny bet or no way?

CO has never made a bet yet, so it is a stretch to think CO is going to start betting now. Or is it hopeless to think SB or CO calls with worse and you do check to give CO a chance to bluff at it?

I would bet between 10 and 25% pot. We could do this with top set as well as a cheap bluff and it forces them to pay us off when it’s easy to have the nuts.

Why are we betting small on this turn with the nuts and a myriad of draws we can get value from?
