Pretty fun breakdown in this thread.

I'll take it to be viciously contested and Indy to prevail.

Without following NBA much this seems like a good trade for the Suns

Maybe cuz I think green is trash but deal seems like a total waste for Phoenix

So reading makes it seem like Green is just an empty point scorer

Probably the best deal Phoenix could get tbh. Hands were completely tied

suns got ripped off horribly bad

maybe shouldve just kept him?

seems like KD probably put it out behind the scenes that if you arent on my list then dont bother, he is 37 and very rich, obviously can threaten to not report to camp and no one wants to deal with that which probably scared teams like memph/minn off. Otherwise think those teams easily beat that garbage offer.

eason/smith/whitmore can take brooks minutes easily and KD >>>>> green....rockets clearly #2 in west as of now id say

Jalen Green is hot garbage.

If that was the price the Spurs should’ve just hit ‘em with Vassel and Sochan and some picks and said F it. Get Wemby some playoff seasoning like Ant got, and take a gamble on being in the mix if SGA tears something

I vaguely remember reading the ask from SAS was castle and 2, which, ****ing lol, kick rocks Phoenix

But if this is what got him I assume spurs just didn’t want him because 14 and a couple of random pieces definitely woulda been enough

Phoenix is a bigger clown franchise than Dallas at this point. Enjoy your second round picks

The Suns were trading a 37 yo with injury history in his 30s who has 1 yr/$55M left on his deal. Not sure what sort of return people thought that was gonna bring. A 23 yo former #2 pick athletic scoring wing, another lottery pick and 5 seconds seems like a decent deal.

The Suns completely ****ed themselves, and they’re slightly less ****ed now. They were never going to complete reverse the disaster Ishbia put them in.

And rumors are the Suns are already working on flipping Green.

ehh KD is still top 10-15 rank itl with tons of malleability and fit benefits, also likely to sign a deal that is somewhat team friendly after this year considering he'll be 38

guess it depends how you feel about jalen green but i think most of us think he's a low ceiling floor raiser who was in a perfect situation last year but pretty limited

but yes, suns were in a **** situation given KD probably shutoff 27 teams behind the scenes

I’m not surprised they got the poopoo platter back.

Spurs still could have topped that easily without sweating. Green has had like two good months in 4 years and is totally redundant with Booker, who I assume they’re keeping.

But I get it if SA just didn’t really want to do it. Just sad cause a Durant/Wemby duo would be so sick to see.

perhaps SAS keeping the dry powder for a potential giannis deal was my first thought fwiw

All indications are Giannis isn’t requesting a trade and the Bucks aren’t entertaining offers. So there’s the everything has a price godfather offer type situation or nothing.

I just can’t possibly see a deal for giannis being worth going for for SAS. I mean off the top of my head to get Giannis out of Milwaukee you’re looking at, 2, 14, sochan, castle, maybe another 1 or 2 firsts?

Luka didn't request a trade and he was moved.

Bucks could be playing it close to the vest to maintain leverage.

2, 14, Castle, Sochan, and every other single draft asset that SA can possibly trade is the minimum the asking price would be.

The only team that can trade for Giannis is one willing to go 100% all in to get him. The Luka trade was the anomaly. No else is that stupid.

could see Houston still trying to get in on giannis sweepstakes as well

still have a lot of assets

Siakam probably doing the same thing.

No predictions.

But man, game 7. In all its glory.

I’m no historian but the closest parallel to this seems to be the Denver series, so I’ll predict OKC in a snooze cruise. Worst choke in NBA history if they lose. Top five in all sports? Even a win gets an asterisk for not doing it in six.

Sorry AIM, but aside from Rory winning the Masters I’ve lost every single bet, fantasy team, and hand of poker I’ve played since the SB (did nail both that & NFCCG but made gutless bets on them), or else I’d be rooting for ya. Also took a 20% pay cut in a typical corporate Peter-Paul thing on May 1.

HOF bet at 80-1, frame the ticket no matter what. How high would you take a cashout?

Wait, just realizing Houston had the Suns picks and didn’t give any back? Make that the Poo poo poo platter
