As the Supreme Court has been at pains to point out in Skrmetti, children cannot possibly, and provably do not, understand the implications of transgenderism in the adult world. And it's not something they come up with themselves, except in the way that they will sometimes claim to be ponies, or princesses. As an ideology, it is very much something that adults project and impose on them.
