President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

It’s always funny to see trump supporters say ‘I didn’t vote for this’ on X y or z issues only for the administration to keep throwing them under the bus saying stuff like

If the guy you voted for is telling you to your face this is what you voted for, then this is what you voted for

Agreed. I think everyone knows that if you vote for a politician you must support every single thing that they do or support. In the same way you are not allowed to be a Kansas City Chiefs fan AND be opposed to domestic abuse.

I was always curious about what you actually do. I had always just assumed you were some sort of quant type.

I don’t necessarily like the term quant but yeah mathematical modeling and algorithm design related to high frequency trading.

The stuff I was talking about is completely on the side. If you’re in finance and get some degree of freedom you can get involved in all sorts of random start ups. And a lot of times I’ll be the only technical person on the board or involved so I’ll end up being drafted to help out on that side.

I you believe don election is only about trans and 2/3 more issues like that you maybe are correct .I don’t think so but too many idiots believes republicans are great for the bottom 50% still today ….That is the main problem imo.Imagine thinking creating trillions of debt again to give tax breaks to billionaires will help the middle class is a good idea shrug…As long they b

this is one of the few areas where mong is right

a lot of the moderates who voted for trump did so as a cultural pushback against things like dei, employer mandated pronouns, etc

just last night in the moderation thread i mentioned how all grade school children in seattle were recently issued transgender black lives matter coloring books and of course i am immediately met with nonsense attacks of "why do you hate trans and blacks?"

had i made the same complaint about seattle children being given 10 commandments coloring books, i would not have been met with the "why are you supporting theft and murder?" nonsense as people would have seen it for what it is and not for the nonsense of "it's to teach kids murder is wrong"

you don't need the 10 commandments to teach that murder is wrong the same way you don't need to give every child a trans & black lives matter themed coloring book in order to teach racial and gender equality

I don't even know what a transgender coloring book is.

I might be mistaken on this but my gut feeling is that the bastardisation of the meaning of "literally" predates social media by a fair bit.

Probably the 1980's at the latest!

You and him agree on a ton of social stuff, whether you know it or not.

See?

So, rickroll goes into the moderation thread, which is actively discussing whatever, and posts:

kids in grades 1-5 in seattle were recently given transgender black lives matter coloring books

That's the complete post. Totally separate from what anyone else is discussing, and one simple assertion, no analysis, no nothing, just the implication of "LOOK AT THAT! THOSE WACKY LIBS!" And now, he feigns indignance and surprise that other posters "attacked" him and his bait.

An absolute masterclass in horrible and annoying posting. Take a ****in' bow.

not really related, but...

One of these things is a stark violation of our Constitutional principle of separation of church and state and one is not. That would have more likely been a point of contention than this weird half-cocked comparison you're going on about.

I saw the post and didn't really understand the point. I really don't know what a transgender coloring book is (does it just...have transgender people in it? Is it not supposed to?). And I have no idea why a black lives matter coloring book would be bad. I mean, they do, right?

As long they believe that , republicans will always have a chance to win elections.

Both parties will "always have a chance to win elections" because there is only one alternative when people are not happy with the party in control.

Jfc Luciom.

just lol at this point

"mostly women"

The confederat..I mean conservatives are just responding to the feminine war of cultural aggression. They were being nice passive little betas for many years until they were pushed too far by girls. Time go all alpha and lower tax rates for billionaires again--that'll show em who's boss 😀

by StoppedRainingMen

Mongo: I vote trump and I like trump but it’s your fault I voted for trump
Roco: it’s always someone else’s fault you voted for the guy you wanted but don’t want to admit you wanted huh?
Lucy: look at you, hating on black people and Mexicans

I mean sure. I’m not sure what else I could have expected

did mong post a photo of himself or declare his ethnicity? i might have missed that

I'll give you 100:1 with my side being that he's whiter than your laptop after a night of vigorous politics posting.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trans-Affirmati...

https://www.queerlit.co.uk/products/tran...

They do exist, and they are slightly weird things to push at children still in the age of latency. Weird in the way that any attempt to enforce or impose adult notions of sexuality on children is deemed weird, and for good reason.

Honestly I thought the political and anti-cop stuff was waaaaay worse than the trans and queer stuff.

I can't even find an examples of what hes referencing so who knows what depraved corner of the internet rickroll pulled the "trans blm coloring book" thing from but it probably resembles the "trans blm coloring book" that made the rounds in New York last year

I think he mixed up where the coloring books came from (organization in Seattle) with what classrooms they were used in.

Anyway I’m just not a big fan of the “late” BLM. I thought it was much better when it was strictly focused on police brutality and not trying to cross sectors with this intersectional stuff. And a lot of the criminal justice reform proposals were overshadowed by this intersectional stuff

😆😆😆

A friendly reminder that there is no amount of concessions less than total and absolute that dear leader will accept

I wonder if theres anyone on earth other than the daughter he wants to bang for which trump actually has loyalty to and doesn’t view as a transactional relationship where his ring must be kissed at all times

by 57 On Red

They do exist

OK, but what are they? Do they just have transgender people in them? Is that bad in some way that you can quantify for me?

by 57 On Red

adult notions of sexuality.

Can you tell me what transgender people have to do with adult notions of sexuality?

i did not get this from the internet

it's what a lot of parents are talking about in seattle

i can send you pics of my god son's copy but his coloring skills are quite bad and i don't want to embarass an 8 year old publicly (and yes if you truly don't believe me i'm happy to take a pic with holding a sign a that says hi coordi in one hand and his masterwork in coloring with the other as a dm)

i just don't get why you insist on treating me like i'm inventing things or posting in bad faith, and my guess is from the fact that you found examples of the book online, that this is causing quite a stir elsewhere as well

mind you, these are families who buy fair trade all organic and and donate thousands each year to migrants etc - about as educated and left leaning a general population as you'll find in america, also one of the most affluent, and even they have a problem with this

a think a major problem is i just happen to be here and share my shower thoughts online, the vast majority don't care enough to post about this stuff online so you guys mistake your own beliefs to be that of a moderate as your only counterbalance are magatards like mong and right wing zealots like luc, otherwise you generally have consensus here because only the most radical segment of the population care enough to devote time and energy talking about it online amongst strangers

it's to the point that you label me, a center left individual as far right because you aren't comparing me to the general pop, you are comparing me to yourself

actually dm me number instead, it'll be easier to text than upload and i'd like to meet up as i'll be in denver possibly in july and definitely in october

by d2_e4

Mong is a bit of a special case, even as Trumpers go. Best is just to nod along and back away slowly. Don't worry, he won't notice.

If you run or turn your back I may instinctively attack.

Get your coat coordi, you've pulled.

Because bitching about a coloring book that emphasizes empathy for black people is either stupid or racist.

There shouldn't be any sort of legitimate concern for anyone.

Its like my Democrat friends bitching about DEI policies while they make 250k a year to post on discord most of the day. Its pure nonsense

A lot of people don't think they are racist until confronted with indignance stemming from their latent racism
