Maine House Passes Bill to Legalize Online Poker for Tribes

Bill Text: This bill authorizes each federally recognized Indian nation, tribe or band in this State to operate Internet gaming pursuant to a license from the Gambling Control Unit within the Department of Public Safety. Only a federally recognized Indian nation, tribe or band in this State is eligible to obtain a license and operate Internet gaming. The licensing structure follows the law governing sports wagering.

Seriously, Maine has NOT legalized Online Poker, at least not yet, according the actual source that is linked

The "Bill" has not passed both houses and is NOT law.

Whoever wrote this heading likely NEVER read the link and has a severe case of premature exclamation. (The House passed a bill, that's it. The Senate has not acted.)
