PokerGo snoozefest for the 2025 WSOP stream
Could PokerGo have created a more boring schedule to stream at this years WSOP? Looks like they are streaming 30 events, with 25 being NL Holdem. Yeah, I get it that NL is still the most popular poker variant to play, but is it really that interesting to watch anymore? Sorry, I just can't watch the hooded robots tank fold preflop anymore, and the AK vs TT all in preflops have lost my interest. Maybe if PokerGo bothered to stream some other formats, the poker world could attract a few more players .
1. My favourite ever TV coverage of an event was the Players Championship (not nlhe) that Scotty Nguyen won
2. Is any format of poker fun to watch compared to playing the game?

Funny, I've seen very little of the former in recent years, while the latter was pretty much 80 percent of the hands we see in those one-hour highlight-reel telecasts back in the so-called "good ol' days" of TV poker. They were boring then, even to the sauced-up bros who now need to have Omaha explained 10 times in every stream.
Then again, two out of the three streams I watched this year so far were non-NLHE events (namely the $10K 2-7 single draw and the $10K Omaha8). So for all I know, the $1,500 NLHE shootout was exactly as you describe.
I have generally been satisfied with the coverage so far. We saw the NLHE/PLO mixed $25K, the 2-7 single draw $10K, and the O8 $10K championship final tables. And with over 16,000 entrants it makes some sense to show the Collosus FT as the payouts were huge in relation to the buy-in. They snuck a bit of the $50K NLHE final table in last night that had an excellent line up, and I think they plan to stream two days of the $100K and also two days of the $250K.
So far, so decent for me, at least.

They only showed the 2-7 and O8 because of DNegs
Gotcha. They showed them, which I was happy with. And the $50K FT had Koon, Ben86, and Chewy as the final three, so I was cool with that, too.
Bleznick is a great commentator, quite a unique individual, explains everything great, and not afraid to be critical
O8 I’m just happy to see, but Stapleton is cringe to me
Stapleton almost makes Norman Chad seem funny.
This is true, as neither event was on the original streaming schedule. But I will give PokerGo props for airing them, even if it was only because of DNegs. For those of us trying to learn the mix games, it was great to watch them, and a real bonus to have Blez doing the call. Thanks PokerGo, hope to see a few more mixed games sneak into the streams for whatever reason!

Agreed, I give them props
There are good odds on big names being on future final tables
I say this every year.
we used to get overhead cam FT streamed, overhead mic and camera / sometimes no commentary which was fine but it was great and fre on wsop.com sometiems bluff.com used to do it
now we get colossus which has everyone at 5-10BB veing streamed over the FT over the 2-7 NL LMAOOO
and **** joe stapleton, he said "you guys don't even know how to play the game" when chat wanted to see the 2-7 day 3 instead of the shove fest colossus WHICH AGAIN HAD EVEYONE AT LIKE 5-12BB
hes such an insufferable **** for that

spot on. 100% truth.
blez iirc last year and this year has done amazing commentary. most analyst they get to do the mixed games are great tho historically speaking for what they get
I enjoyed coverage of the $100K high roller. They started streaming it with at least 4 tables left, took it through the $203K money bubble to the final table and the heads up. I do wish there was more streaming of tourneys before they reach the final table, but I believe we'll get pre-final table streams for the $250K, the PPC, and of course the Main.
The 2-7 NL they showed was a joy to watch. I felt like a kid at a candy store :-)
Agree about Stapleton, he puts me off massively ... is he really well connected or something? why is he around?

It’s not all a worse development with PokerGo though.
Will get three days of amazing 50K PPC coverage

Yes ESPN would have two final tables streaming at once. One had full commentary and the other one would just be total barebones. PokerGo claims that its too expensive to be able to cover more events. I just find it hard to believe in 2025 that you can't have a dedicated FT for all Hold'em-PLO events then off to the side a FT that can do mixed games and have it totally barebones. We had the tech to do this a decade and some change ago.
Kabrhel is on the Youtube Poker Go, just non-stop insanity. He's amazing, I absolutely love him in a real way
Now Ivey shows up, poor Phil lol
I absolutely love Kabrhel lol holy **** is he entertaining with his constant table talk
"Not like that!"
This kabrel dude is incredibly annoying, literally drove me off the stream.
Same. Won't watch any more of his streams. That a few people "love" him doesn't make him good for the game. 99% of potential new recs would only want to smash his face in after hearing his nonstop inane bs for 5 straight minutes.
Asking the dealer to spread the pot when there were four chips in it and seeing her face as she did it was best part of evening.
The beauty of watching Kabrhel is you aren't playing with him. I would hate to be at his table, but watching the ultra-serious high rollers getting tilted out of their minds because they aren't playing in the insulated Triton bubble (which I also love) is hilarious. They legitimately don't know how to fire back at him. A few of them try (Brynn) but he just pulls out crazy 1-liners right back at them that they just can't combat. Clearly it works and he gets them to make bad decisions against him, because he's not a top pro yet always has a stack in these things.
I just don't know how he keeps going and going every single hand without taking a break. He must be absolutely exhausted after play ends because he's expelling 2-3x more energy than anyone else at the table
