Heads Up NL Holdem 2025 @ Svenska Spel

Follow my journey playing Heads Up NL at the Ipoker network, but on the swedish client Svenska Spel.

Have been starting up a couple of blogs earlier but this time i will have a different approach. Have never really studied that much except from some preflop ranges and so on, but i want to succeed at this and understand that you have to study - A LOT!

Will be studying more than i am playing - like two times studying compared to the time i play.

Played one short session, 30minutes and 101 hands. Nice session with +276BB

Will keep the sessions short as well in the beginning since they are so many spots where im not sure which lines to take, will be longer sessions after a while when i´ve been studying more

After the first session for the day i studied a bit - 3bet pots OOP and IP as a caller on A high paired boards. Only have the free version of GTO Wizard but learned a few things of course, like what the standard cbet sizing should be in that spot and some calling ranges for the IP player.

Did also analyse my database focusing on opponent tendencies, and adjusted my ranges a bit from them.

The hard thing is that the pool i am playing in is anonymous, so you never know who you are up against.

But the pool are really 3betting wide so i expanded my 4bet range a bit and also tightened up my SB raising range a bit, guess what you should do here...the one thing i think is hard is how much should you expand it and so on...guess there is some kind of calculations for this, will have to look at it later. But villains 3betting 42% is kinda out of line 😀

After the studying i did one more short session, it demands so much focus to play heads up so i think its totally fine to keep the sessions short while your mind is sharp. Anyway, the second session went really good, same as the first one.

But of course i know that everyday will not look like this, been running good but really nice to be of to a good start - 203hands and +512BB

Biggest winning hand of the day. Been taking many passive lines today since the villains are overly aggro i think...on the river i was not sure what to do, if i should bet to get a bit of value but this time the check worked perfect 😀

And the biggest losing one. Cbetting on the flop with a backdoor straight draw and picks up some equity on the turn so i double barrel. When it all reaches the river i think i dont have that much of a choice. He could have lika a busted flushdraw so i decide to bluff...didnt work out this time 😀

One more session this morning, and it was a longer one that the previous ones. Keeps on playing against fishes but today a lot of limping ones and minbetting, think its a bit harder to adjust to them. Ran kinda bad as well, so a minus session in the book. But will try not be to resultoriented, cause im pretty sure i can beat this game.

Would you sit and play the king of swedish poker and lord of headsup the mighty raphk darko?

Actually never heard of raphk darko, but if hes the king and lord of heads up i guess the stakes of playing are way way above my bankroll..😀

Never having heard of Raph Darko is like never having heard of Jesus.
