President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Amicus brief by twenty red states arguing that their governors power should be subjugated to the President. GOP all about states rights or whatever

Every time there is civil unrest of any sort, Trump assures us that paid agitators are largely responsible. In all my days, I have never met anyone who received a single penny to attend a protest. I can't say it has never happened, mainly because almost everything has happened at least once, but during my next six months in NYC, I would say it is much more likely that I will encounter a grizzly bear in the street than a paid agitator.

If the paid agitators exist they are proud boy style groups receiving dark funds from conservative outlets to instill violence and chaos.

So maybe Trump is just telling the truth, who knows

Internal 82nd Airborne Division communications reviewed by Military.com reveal a tightly orchestrated effort to curate the optics of Trump's recent visit, including handpicking soldiers for the audience based on political leanings and physical appearance.

One unit-level message bluntly saying: "No fat soldiers."

"If soldiers have political views that are in opposition to the current administration and they don't want to be in the audience then they need to speak with their leadership and get swapped out," another note to troops said.

Service officials declined to comment when asked about the extent to which troops were screened, whether soldiers displaying partisan cheers on television -- a violation of long-standing Pentagon rules -- would be disciplined or if soldiers who objected to participating in the event, citing disagreements with the administration, would be disciplined or admonished in any way.

"This has been a bad week for the Army for anyone who cares about us being a neutral institution," one commander at Fort Bragg told Military.com on the condition of anonymity to avoid retaliation. "This was shameful. I don't expect anything to come out of it, but I hope maybe we can learn from it long term."

Least surprising news ever.

I don't think that is happening either.

I'd agitate if I was paid. Then I'd blame it on foreigners on social media.

How principled of you

Maybe you'd get a black bear but not in Manhattan...there I'd be putting my money on a paid agitator.

I'm betting on some paid to attend and agitate. Long been happening in the uk where we even have scandle of some of them having relationships/families with unsuspecting women.

There aren’t a lot of black bears in Manhattan. So many petite fake 5’3” 5’4 italian and chinese women taking all the guys. If youre looking for black bears Id try the bronx or brooklyn.

How about paid alligators?

Maybe a few paid animators?

Black bears show up in Manhattan sometimes.

Baffling that anyone still uses twitter at all, honestly.

ya total shocker that people look at the news source that gets the most traffic, is most up to date, is easiest to share, and has the most reach.

I guess I should cut some slack to people who arent capable of critical thought and dont like their world view challenged.

Twitter is objectively dying though. Interactions are way down and what is there is estimated to be 50-66% bot activity

Bots are annoying. They are everywhere on the internet. Imo X should charge a few bucks a year. Something nominal. Bots may still pay if it's too small, we'll see. And for the people that can't afford $10/year or whatever, too bad. Can still view, just can't post.

Would be nice if email was like this too. Endless spam. Phone calls too. 95% of calls I get are spam.

Twitter is a cesspool of disinformation, manipulated media, right wing bullsht, and nazi propaganda. Only idiots would use it at this point, frankly.

Unsurprising to see the most unintelligent of posters here defending its use.

I always think of X as the true home of critical thought. 🙄

right as opposed to foxnews and cnn. its quite obv that you incapable of actively engaging with information and need it spoonfed via mainstream sources so that you your views are never challenged.

Every time I've unblocked you and started replying to you, you've gotten embarrassed. You want to go down that route again? Do I need to paste your greatest hits from the last few times?

You're a buffoon. Accept it.

In case you forgot how badly it went for you last time you tried, this is how it *started* and it went downhill from there:

Imagine missing so badly that you accused me of doing something for 4 years here and I have never even said THE WORDS ONE TIME. And you were willing to bet your whole roll on it.

I'm sure it'll go better this time though. lol

Just to gives you guys the idea of how things get perceived here in europe, and how abhorrent MSM is around here as well, the curfews in LA went with headlines like "LA introduces curfew in the city center" and virtually 100% of comments on social media were about "see trump is a fascist he introduces curfews".

That's the state of things, media explicitly choosing not to tell us it was the democrat mayor to decide that, on purpose, so that people think it's trump abusing power.
