President Donald Trump
I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?
So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at
Also, aren't people here legally getting deported as well?
Apart from that Kilmar dude, I actually don't know. According to NY Times, half a million legal migrants are now "open to deportation"
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/31/us/po...
Expedited removal typically is used on people who are picked up at the border, as a way to quickly turn them back without court proceedings. But Mr. Trump expanded it significantly so that ICE agents can use the process for anyone who has been in the United States less than two years.
In its March notice, the administration said expedited removal prevents “further straining of the overburdened immigration court system.”
That sounds pretty messed up, if taken at face value.
More context given here though.
I mean are legal migrants being suddenly deported for no reason or is it because they may have violated the grounds set out in the second link. I'm not knowledgeable enough on the issue or context.
I don't know, but if they're not, that's just kinda tough, I'm afraid. I'm sure all countries don't accept some migrants or asylum claims. We deported 35 migrants just the other day, after they weren't accepted for whatever reason.
Britain, Italy and Germany wanted to boot non accepted migrants off to Rwanda, Albania and Afghanistan.
Every country has certain rules or criteria for migrants, be they asylum seekers or economic.
As far as I can tell, trump doesn't want anyone coming here at all (except for those poor mistreated white south africans).
America is known as a country that historically has taken in poor, hungry and huddled masses. It shouldn't be politicised or weaponized and should be unfettered by prejudice, so you'll get no argument from me in this regard.
let's look a little closer because you are the epitome of a df liar
There is no number between 0.9r and 1. Ergo, they are the same quantity.
1/3 = 0.3r
3*(1/3) = 3/3
3/3 = 1
3X(0.3r) = 0.9r
0.9r = 3/3 = 1
YOUR proof for 0.9r = 1 starts with 1/3 = 0.3r
That's very dumb and doesn't help prove anything.
If 1/3 = 0.3r then of course 1 = 0.9r
hint: multiply them both by 3
The image, unlikely made by you, is good.
YOUR proof is laughable.
df
No. Quantity is not the determining factor here, especially when given different amounts of time.
Sorry but the term was mass deportation and Obama deported more, but Trump deporting less is racist and evil? America has always deported illegals. The Dems would have probably done it had Kamala gotten in or some other GOP POTUS who wasn't Trump.

YOUR proof for 0.9r = 1 starts with 1/3 = 0.3r
1/3 = 0.3r is demonstrably true. It's literally simple math. You can work that out yourself using long division.
edit to add: thought I would add another way to demonstrate this (since some people need it demonstrated I guess?)
a = 0.3r
10a = 3.3r
10a - a = 3
9a = 3
a = 1/3
ergo 1/3 = 0.3r
literally toddler level math, but sometimes we have to spell it out. Hope that was slow enough for you.
On the contrary. It proves 0.9r = 1 quite tidily.
Ah, see, you do get it.
That's exactly what I did, df.
The image is more than good, and thank you. For the simple among us, like you, I can explain.
0.9r can be rewritten as 9/10 + 9/100 + ... + 9/10n (aka a geometric series). If you remove the 9, 1/10n is a P-series, and since n > 1, it converges.
So we use SUM arn-1 = a/(1-r) to find the sum of 0.9r, which is 1.
This was proven ages ago. I have no need to construct a proof myself.
Have a good day, simpleton.
Sorry but the term was mass deportation and Obama deported more, but Trump deporting less is racist and evil?
I literally just told you the quantity doesn't determine if something is racist and evil, so no, Obama deporting more or less doesn't make it more or less racist and evil.
America has always deported illegals. The Dems would have probably done it had Kamala gotten in or some other GOP POTUS who wasn't Trump.
Correct. If Trump was only doing that, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Sorry but with all due respect this just comes across as OMB = racist & evil. And I think the guy is an a hole to clarify. You literally just telling me something or basically making an assertion, doesn't make it so or empirically correct. That's just your opinion.
Stupid libs, just letting Trump own them by resisting fascist style overreach, when will they learn to just take the boot in every orifice like the conservatives?
So, to be clear, you don't think Trump's mass deportation policy, as expressed through policy so far during his administration to this point, is racist, destructive, or evil? I just want to make sure.
Do you think his policy is the same as, say, Obama's was (but smaller in scope)? I'm not sure what you believe here, and it's...strange, to say the least.
I mean do you think law enforcement shouldn't use a lot of violence to stop rioters being violent?
that's a core function of the state, possibly the most important one. to stop private actors from waging illegal violence upon third parties bodies and property.
there is nothing authoritarian in defending people property and bodies.
Luciom,
In practice, I don't think there is any form of protest or civil disobedience that you would approve of. I honestly think that, if this were 1960, you would be arguing that police should be allowed to gun down people who participate in sit-ins at lunch counters. If someone called you racist, you would reply that you also think police should be able to shoot any white person who uses a blacks-only bathroom if such use is prohibited by law. And you probably would be arguing that there should be a change in law to allows citizens to engage in vigilantism to prevent the behavior.
My point isn't to compare the current LA protests to sit-ins. I understand they are different in a myriad of ways. And my point isn't to call you a racist, whether you are one or not. My point is that I have difficulty imagining any scenario in which you would disapprove of violence, especially state-sponsored violence, as a response to a deliberate violation of the law.
At first I was like:
YOUR proof for 0.9r = 1 starts with 1/3 = 0.3r
That's very dumb and doesn't help prove anything.
BUT THEN, I was all like:
If 1/3 = 0.3r then of course 1 = 0.9r
hint: multiply them both by 3
Republicans doing math; hilarious every time

Not my country. Ultimately I'm apathetic.

In terms of mass deportation or deportation in general? Pretty much, as again America and every other country deports illegals. Whether Trump is also a racist or not or indeed regardless of whatever personal motivation he may have, is ultimately irrelevant as it doesn't nullify the fact that every US administration deports illegals or undesirable legal migrant anyway and will continue to do so after Trump's term is up.
Stupid libs, just letting Trump own them by resisting fascist style overreach, when will they learn to just take the boot in every orifice like the conservatives?
Prolly shoulda voted for Kamala instead. All about reaping what you sow, innit? Deporting less is overreach, deporting more isn't? OMB.

I will chalk this up to you just not being well informed on the issue then, and move on. I'll let others elaborate if they are so motivated. I'm not interested.
You lot voted him in that's wat. Now when he does the same thing every other admin did it's a fascist overreach. Shoulda voted differently and then it would be sunshine and lollipops and you'd have nothing to whinge about. Vote different next time.

I voted Kamala, but the overreach is sending in armed forces to assault protestors with rubber bullets and the such. The overreach is making a show of force of questionable legality along all chains of the justice system.
This has been a strange couple of dozen or so posts if I'm being honest.
