Running gto+ sims for husng, preflop questions

I'm wondering if I should use my own simplified ranges for preflop or the GTO Wizard ones, on one hand the sim would be more accurate with the GTO ranges but if I use the simplified ranges I feel like it would be better to practice with in the trainer.

I always ran sims with my simplified ranges, but they had 25-50% mixing. In spots with wide ranges (srp/limped), GTO vs simplified solutions will be pretty similar. Especially if you are using unmixed simplified range, solutions will diverge a lot from GTO solution with narrow ranges (3bet, iso, limped or mr very short). So I would probably use simplified ranges with wide spots, and GTO ranges in narrow spots. Noone is going to properly exploit the fact your range might have poor coverage on whatever textures. The point of studying w solver imo is just to develop a reasonable defensive (GTO) strategy vs good players and to better understand how players are imbalanced and adjusting to that to exploit (node locking in pio is a useful but imperfect tool). No perfect answer hope that helps.
