President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

its pretty amazing that you think the Dems were remotely good on immigration and dont share much of the blame for the ongoing attacks. look at how much the Dems funded ICE for the last 4 years.

You guys got awful mad when we said "abolish ICE".

Why would you want to abolish ICE? Do you like open borders? Do you like gangs and terrorists sneaking into the country? Do you like drugs easily smuggled into the country? Do you like criminals and rapists and human traffickers having easy access?

I like open borders.

Just make sure the good citizens are protected.

I guess you consider yourself a good one?

I don’t know what you mean by “good on immigration”. I’m just discussing the policy of mass deportations and lack of interest in not deporting people who are actual US citizens or have some other right to be in the country.

I’m not interested in defending any type of open border policy that you would advocate for, so you might think I’m “bad” on immigration.

eh it was directed at SRM who addressed me. tbh, I didnt read your post

Your world view sorta fascinates me sometimes

Biden: ICE funding (?), Gaza happened

Trump: **** has gotten exponentially worse to the point where ICE has become literal gestapo and anyone speaking out against Israel are being disappeared while institutions are being targeted for not doing it themselves

You, apparently: why are you talking **** about trump? Obviously this is Biden’s fault

He doesn’t have the right to say that masks are not allowed at protests. I don’t even think congress has that power. Seems like a very clearly circumscribed state’s right.

I suppose if we had better neighbors I wouldn't mind open borders.

I like it.

These protesters are cowards and up to no good.

pretty sure you are correct about that yes

Here's a good idea. Don't speak out against ICE or Israel. Sometimes keeping your yap shut is the best thing to do. Try to listen more and speak less. Learn why ICE and Israel does what it does instead of responding from emotions. Try to gain some understanding of the situation.

If one of your neighbours is an as*hole, your neighbour is an as*hole; if all your neighbours are as*holes, you're the as*hole.

Doens't he have the right to say anything he likes about mask? He doesn't actually rule by tweets.

He may not have the right to make an official order or whatever it's called. Even then doesn't the SC get to decide whether he had the right?

They aren't all as* holes. There are a lot of rapists, gang members, terrorists, human traffickers, drug dealers etc. We have a lot of bad Hombres as neighbors. The non as* hole neighbors come into our country legally.

So let me get this straight. You think all the legal immigrants are law abiding and all the illegal immigrants are criminals (as in, guilty of crimes other than being illegal immigrants)?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your own understanding of these situations?

We’re not using the word say in the same sense. I think once we dissolve the semantic misunderstanding we don’t have any disagreement.

As for your second point, of course it is logically possible that the Supreme Court will say he has the right to ban masks. It’s also logically possible for them to say that he has the right to make non-content neutral restrictions on free speech. I think when most people talk about what rights x government entity has, they are talking about the rights that they should have according to the best interpretation of the law, by which I mean the one that they favor and think they can justify.

All illegal immigrants are criminals. If you are sneaking into the country I assume it's for nefarious reasons. Those who come in legally are at least vetted.

Did you even read the ****ing question? It's literally right there in the question - guilty of crimes other than being illegal immigrants. Can you ****ing read?

And you think it's that easy to just come into the US legally that anyone who is not a criminal in their home country can do it? LMAO.

I honestly don't think there has ever been a reg in this forum as stupid as mong, and that includes notable entries like Pointlesswords, washoe, Playbig and BJ.

I dont disagree but hopefully you can recognise I'm making a point about the ****ed up USA constitution and lol justice system

It may or may not survive trump but it's just a matter of time if it isn't seriously refomed. With serious damage to people in the meantime

All illegal immigrants are criminals. If you are sneaking into the country I assume it's for nefarious reasons. Those who come in legally are at least vetted.

All immigrants who aren't citizens commit crimes at half the rate of all people who were born in the US.

The next generation (those that are born in the US and are US citizens) then commit crimes at about the same rate as prior US citizens.

The reason why illegal immigrants don't commit crimes is because in past administrations (including Trump's 1st term) ICE was primarily looking to deport illegal immigrants who had committed crimes in this country. Now people who are poor and can't afford food or money for medical costs will often commit crimes in order to survive. So that is likely why some illegal immigrants commit crimes. But basically they don't want to be deported. So for the most part they avoid committing crimes.

The reason why past administrations (Republican and Democrat) did things this way is because illegal immigrants work in a lot of jobs that US citizens don't want because the pay is really low. This can be nanny, house cleaning, working on farms picking food or cotton, etc. In many cases this helps keep inflation down.

ICE also deports legal immigrants who commit crimes. If you're a legal immigrant and sentenced to a year or more in custody for any crime, you're automatically deported at the end of your sentence and banned for life.

well the "won't be allowed" implies he has the power to ban their usage, which he hasn't
