Fyi, Cam Barry, (CTB123 GlobalPoker; MattParker CoinPoker), has a very serious problem with his CoinPoker account. Please see https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/28/di...
Not a single hs reg try to defend him or say a positive thing in his favor. Must be legit..... "serious problem"
No one aside from a few American players knows who I am, so I'm not surprised no one is jumping to my defense. If all things are equal their investigation will exonerate my play as I was not, nor have I ever cheated in poker.
I beat dogecoinmaximaliste very badly in one session, kennedyp less so over 2 sessions, and did ok v yodogoki. I also got absolutely crushed by tony1993 and cumicon over multiple sessions. Apparently that's enough to get my account restricted and unfortunately coinpoker support and security are so insanely slow that after two weeks, they're still reviewing my play. They have said nothing about it so far.
It's quite scary to face this kind of action and have no contact from support for over a week. I can't wait to get back onto coinpoker but this experience has been harrowing.
It seems that Stefan is trying too hard to push volume.
Last year when he tried to make a comeback at GG NL1k, he played 200k hands in 2 months and ended down 70 buyins.
Now he's played 43k hands in a week (13k hands more than anyone else) and he's one of the biggest losers.
The luckiest will win it anyway. It is just so stupid to play that many hands, especially with quite thin egdes.
Thanks for your knowledge.
He didn‘t manage to win with less volume on regular tables. Put in even more volume and play your worst game against decent players. Build up very deep stacks, because the decent players don‘t know how to exploit it and your winrate is going to skyrocket.
And of course the next main event champion is going to be considered as the world‘s best player!!
Luck will absolutely play a part in who wins, but it's the player who has the highest $EV that wins, not the person that wins the most.
I was always wondering what‘s the difference between the std. dev. of the actual winrate and the ev winrate.
Anybody has an idea?
I‘ve just run both of my graphs through ai and it shows that the AI-Ev graph is actually more volatile?
Sorry for off topic.

Drug is a helluva drug
Stefan results…. 50/100 skill level isn’t too different than 2/5.
Have been saying this for years… competition is more or less the same, dif is mindset and a little bit of lucky.
Stefan results kinda proves my point
The 500/1k 6max that been posted here from GG, any 0.5/1 reg could beat that. One epic whale 90vpip…
Ps; take my opinion with grain of salt because it’s been a long time since I don’t play anything…
Yea some bumhunters at 50/100 not big difference theoretically as 2/5 maybe but strong players and also playing vs fish and other soft skills insane difference imo
Bigger skill difference than from NL25 to NL500 imo
Stefan cleary is not the same he once was no point in making comparisons
Also quite some 1k,2k regs playing the NL500 challenge so level prob abit higher than usually at this stake anyway?

theoretically is much much much different than in practice. it's very easy to know the theory and "play well in theory" when no money is involved but for people all the sudden 10x their normal stakes and go on a 10, 20, 40 buy in downswing and now theory goes out the window in 99.9% of cases
or....
Like Mike Tyson said "everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face"
the value of having been there and done that before, having faced big $$ swings before is incredibly valuable

IÂ’ve been playing with CTB for years on Global. HeÂ’s never quits a table / plays heads up with anyone and everyone, and has done so for years - literally never refusing action. He does many non-GTO things and plays lightning fast. I think itÂ’s pretty obvious heÂ’s not cheating. Do any Global regs disagree?
It makes me sad to see his account frozen like this. As someone who also wants to build up my roll and take a shot at high stakes someday, is this what happens? You have a winning session vs a high stakes player and that automatically makes you a cheater?
I appreciate CoinÂ’s concern for game integrity, but their apparent laziness when it comes to this investigation / communication is deeply disturbing. Do they intend to pay interest on the $220k theyÂ’ve frozen? ThatÂ’s a serious amount of money. How is this not a top priority for them?
Does anyone have a single shred of evidence against Cam? Do the players that beat him badly on Coin have any thoughts on the matter?

Saw some review guy on youtube claim he thought flushie would beat LLinus over a large sample. Is this common conception nowadays?
From what I remember, they battled previously and Linus quit?
It would be really interesting to know some history behind Bjorn Li, as it seems like he's been an end boss of NLH for a very long time, willing to battle anyone but flown under the radar.

Def didnt fly under the radar for most people who play hsnl i think. He used to post here on 2p2, did a prop bet of some kind where he chipdumped like 15 years ago or smth. Got permbanned from stars, made a new account under asianflushie (everyone always knew it was him so nothing fishy). Played 6max/hu at the highest stakes for many years > did start playing in macao > think someone ratted him out at some point so he got banned from flushie account too and then just played big private matches hu vs everyone for absurd volume. Forgot he also did that hu bot challenge with doug etc, but cant really remember where that was in the timeline. All in all not low key or under the radar at all, been around way longer than most hsnl regs.
There also used to be a rumor that he was behind every reggy chinese account after the asianflushie account was banned but idk.

Bjorn hasn't really "flown under the radar", per se. he's been a main staple of these monthly threads for a almost two decades, but i do agree that it would be cool to learn more about him. i contend that an AMA is in order considering what a ****ing legend dude is.
