As a PLO4 player only, I’d still say this coaching is quite valuable even if you don’t play PLO5. The online document that you are also sent in addition to the coaching contains a lot of information and heuristics which make playing easier.
Finally, the hand reviews that John does are very helpful and allowed me to plug leaks and holes in my game.
My winrate has gone up quite a lot since I acquired coaching and I would definitely recommend it!

I just updated my strategy guide again and it is in its fourth edition (24 pages) and now costs $60. All new students get a free copy with their first session and existing students get the update as part of their ongoing coaching.
Would definitely recommend. Obviously very sharp but easy to talk to and an open book. Happy to have found this thread and I'd take a look if you're looking to level up your 5 card game.
I completed one coaching session with John over lunch, after a particularly brutal downswing during which my play deteriorated more and more creating a snowball effect. After I thanked him for the session and my takeaways, he asked if I would share what I told him publicly. So here we are.
In short, the value was there. We talked through preflop adjustments against a population where flops ordinarily go 4-6 ways, flop textures, turn play, and rivers. Critically, we discussed play after significant changes to board texture and admittedly simple fixes for plugging significant leaks. John's coaching was very practical, focused on typical live fields more than optimal strategy against an optimal opponent: the opponents aren't even close to optimal in PLO5 live; adjusting correctly is life or death.
I found our discussion regarding check/call vs bet/fold on later streets particularly helpful.
For me, maybe the biggest value was the clarity coming from a discussion with someone who's spent thousands of hours in the trenches and can relate to leaks, tilt, and the critical need for self-discipline.
