NBA 2025-26 Season Thread: THE NY KNICKS ARE CHAMPIONS! BING BONG!
Lettuce NBA!
and lettuce lol @ James Harden
I'd hire Whoopi Goldberg before Mike Brown.
Same.
Sounds like a black name!
Not gonna lie but I thought that too before I figured out who he was.
Johnnie Bryant seems to be a great candidate from what I read and I hate the notion of hiring retread mediocre head coaches. Give the man an opportunity!
I really don't want Jason Kidd also. Unless it gets us Giannis. Then I'll be okay with it.

What's wrong with JKidd? Has immediate players' respect and he hasn't really failed badly anywhere.
I’m not confident in him unlocking the Knicks full offensive potential.
We get stagnant a bunch when Brunson is on the court. We need a more free flowing offense.

Pacers gonna shock the world tonight
Pacers 117 - OKC 113
That sounds like a Brunson issue and not a coaching issue. Having KAT+Brunson is always going to leave a huge defensive gap which is harder to cover up in modern NBA as teams are getting deeper.
If Thibs can't get these guys to defend then it seems hopeless with current roster structure, and you may as well shoot for D'Antoni
When Brunson went down it took a few games but then the Knicks excelled with a great ball movement offense that gave everyone good shots in the flow. The Knicks played so much freer.
That’s what I’m referring to. Have more Brunson / KAT PnR and PnP than Thibs ran and also incorporate an offense like the above. Instead of having Brunson do so much in isolation with 10-12 seconds left on the shot clock over and over.
Pacers getting molliwopped tonight. Question will be can they find any possible holes they can exploit after looking at the film.
If you win the Dort minutes by enough points, you can get them
Nem + Nes shut down Shai. Pascal is unguardable this series. Pacers in 7
Paul George, Victor Oladipo, and Domantis Sabonis ain't walking through that door
And thank god. Talk about some all time loser players
As a Pacers fan, first half just shows OKC is the better team. But they can let people hang around and have a chance (Denver). Pacers need Haliburton to score 30-40 to win.
1. Dolan definitely axed him. I wonder how Leon Rose feels about this since he and Thibs were reportedly close.
Reports are that it was Rose’s decision but I’m rooting so hard for this to be true, because my reasoning for renouncing my fandom from this toxic loser franchise in 2013 was largely how bad and handsy with the team Dolan is. I was assured by this thread last year that they’ve cleaned things up and Dolan won’t interfere anymore, so seeing them revert right back to their old tricks again will be a gas.
Given reports of player unhappiness with Rick Brunson, we’re drawing very live for complete collapse in the near future.
I think he’s interviewed; I assume nobody has faith in his abilities.
Ship Rick and + Jalen to NJ for the Bridges picks
Jalen FOR Cam Johnson + #8 + Bridges Picks Back
I'd do it. I'm not even ****ing kidding. I'd do it.
Then Knicks move #8 + 2 picks we get back to move up and take either Jeremiah Fears OR Nolan Traore.
Brunson is a ball stopping midget who gets cooked on defense by Trae Young when it matters most. Okay he takes charges but that's IT.
Nets laugh at that offer.
