Weird how obsessed all the right wingers have been with this girl since she was 14

Unfortunately this girl has been exploited by the left and made a target. Also, these idiots are gonna find out pretty quickly that the Israelis don't play games with stunts like this.

by Victor

the US left hates her now too. as soon as she started talking about socialism to solve climate change it was gg. and now that she wants to feed starving people they are fine with her being murdered.

She is doing what she is told to do. There is nothing unique about her other than the left has decided to market her as the young face of environmentalism.

by Luciom

yes cordie denies Greta had exceptional, "super human" coverage 24/7/365 for years by all center-left affiliated media, and that's why the right keeps talking about her now, now that she is a living joke and an easy target of mockery and disgust. She also shifted allin pro Hamas , something that didn't surprise any actual rightwing european observer, as we always knew radical le

It's all marketing. This girl is dumb as a stump if she doesn't have a prepared statement or a teleprompter in front of her.

by Luciom

Ye it's incredible, why would the right be obsessed with a person that became the living symbol of some of the most horrific and disastrous takes of the left? It's not like that person had any major impact on politics anyway, why did the right obsess with her?the left at the end just invited her to speak to the european parliament multiple times, why would the right obsess with

Greta Thumberg- The power of marketing.

you're one strange mother****er

I guess two men scissoring is perfectly normal. My bad!

by Victor

Pretty sure Greta is a Marxist.

The only proof of this I can find is weirdo right wingers forums asking if she’s Marxist and getting a bunch of creepy yes responses.

But that’s really beside the point.

Environmentalism isn’t Marxist. Marx saw natural resources as nothing more than something to exploit. Communism is notoriously harsh on the environment through industrialization. There was no philosophy of appreciating or preserving nature. Quite the opposite actually.

This is one of those weird conservative contradictions that stand out to anyone with a brain cell.

the last time an aid flotilla got near Gaza the IDF executed 10 people on board fwiw. I would imagine if the ship gets boarded that some soldier already has his eye on her.

They will be turned away long before they sniff the coast of Israel. She will be hailed as a hero. Then she can go home and try to color inside the lines of her coloring book.

Slow day on chaturb8, guy?

You are not in a position to be calling anyone else dumb there, my guy. I'd be amazed if you can count to 20 without taking your socks off.

Fox entertainment has trained these idiots that anything they don't like in politics is called cOmMuNiSm.

This is an excellent piece about the "Doom Goblin" Greta Thornberg.

She is sailing on a diesel powered ship to Gaza.

That isn’t a “piece” it’s low brow slop with zero substance

a few years ago she called out capitalism as the root of the climate problem. admittedly I am making some leaps here but I am assuming that she didnt arrive at that point without some theoretical basis and that subsequently she has become more radical.

Communism is notoriously harsh on the environment through industrialization.

were they not supposed to industrialize? is Western industrialization any better on the environment?

were they not supposed to industrialize? is Western industrialization any better on the environment?

Why would you ask this and/or jump to such a question based on the sentence you quoted?

by rickroll

if you think you just won the argument and that luc is not going to respond with "receipts" showing how greta's evil influence on the globe has caused far more death and destruction than hamas then you are surely mistaken and do not understand luc

Don’t worry I do 😀

For luciom , words from a kid is more dangerous then actual terrorist act killing thousands of people .
Yup Greta -> pure evil !

by coordi

Communism is notoriously harsh on the environment through industrialization. There was no philosophy of appreciating or preserving nature. Quite the opposite actually.

What nonsense. Capitalism was no better at all. In London for instance, smog caused by pollution was so thick in the air that sometimes it was impossible to see the end of your arm when outstretched. They used to call it a pea-souper.

You're coming across like Luciom here.

Man radical leftist sources themselves see Greta as one of them. Environmentalism (especially conservationism) can be detached from marxism sure. But these days especially in europe green parties are literally all to the left of center. Some dramatically to the left, some only "a lot" to the left.

Like in germany greens aren't the most marxist option available for voters (they are still to the left of the mainstream socialist party). But in italy they are.

In any case especially among protesting people (people protesting "for their future" with Greta as the banner bearer) the overlap with people blaming capitalism specifically for all environmental problems is massive. And they tell you that in all interviews and they carry banners with words against capitalism and so on.

And the palestinian flag ofc.

What you DECIDE to overlook is that while MATERIAL marxism was not environmentalist, the cultural one, the woke, DEI, vegan, soyboy one, the "let's take all the refugees we can" one, that SET of ideas which is to the far left of center in europe and in the USA as well, that set is also radically green.

Green is indeed one of the forms of the new red, just a tool to attempt to overthrow capitalism. And *they tell you that*.

This is a communist subreddit for example

https://www.reddit.com/r/CommunismMemes/...

This is "left voice" ffs

https://www.leftvoice.org/greta-thunberg...

When she was still a teenager, Thunberg made appeals to politicians, but now she says much more explicitly that capitalism is responsible for climate change. And that’s not all: Last weekend, while in Italy for a climate demonstration, Thunberg visited the occupied GKN factory in Florence. The former auto parts plant has been occupied by its employees for three years. Where they once produced car components, the workers now have a plan to build solar panels and cargo bikes.

In a post, Thunberg correctly emphasized that climate justice and workers’ rights go hand in hand: “The fight to get to the end of the month is the same fight against the end of the world.”

///

What the actual ****ing **** does she have to do more than this to make you admit you had no clue, thought she was just a campaigner against climate change, thought we exaggerated, while in reality she objectively is a radical marxist ?

It's not "whatabouting" to point out that an objection someone has made to Communism also applies to Capitalism.

Engage brain before typing.

objection?
Didn't coordi post pointed out similitudes between capitalism and communism?

If he said:

Capitalism notoriously harsh on the environment through industrialization. There was no philosophy of appreciating or preserving nature. Quite the opposite actually.

Would you and victor come here to say Communism was no better?

Victor would have posted this then?

were they not supposed to industrialize? is Communism industrialization any better on the environment?

cordie didn't "object" to that, he just said that in the past communism disregarded environmental issues.

And that's broadly correct. Perhaps more than capitalism, perhaps not, doesn't matter much.

Still the fact cordie wants to deny today, dunno why (maybe it's ignorance being in america, he doesn't know about political parties collocations in europe?) is that Greens nowadays are all leftist parties.

Very leftist ones, in the UK they are to the left of Labor, in Italy to the left of everyone else, in Germany to the left of the SPD (but to the right of die linke), and so on .

That's uncontroversial and known in europe. Yet cordie wants to deny being "green" today, identifying with green issues as the most important political issues, is 100% leftism these days.

If somebody tells you he votes green or simply that "he cares a lot about climate change", with 95-99% probability you also know that he likes high taxes and a lot of welfare state, he doesn't think muslim immigration is a problem for european countries, he thinks Israel should stop waging war on Hamas, he thinks minors who feel of the opposite sex should get taxpayer paid medical procedures to change sex and so on and on.

At least in europe.

he thinks minors who feel of the opposite sex should get taxpayer paid medical procedures to change sex and so on and on.

I guess we don't live in the same world.
I can recall on the fingers of one hand the number of time I had a conversation about trans issues, and I'm a hyper social person who goes out a lot.
Really weird stuff to see righties in this forum constantly bringing the topic back up.
